Treasure Box Help!
Anyone know of a FLGS near Dallas/Fort Worth that will be carrying the Goodman Games treasure chests? Just called every retailer listed on the GG website for DFW and no one has it. Is it special order only? I have been to almost every shop on the list and the only thing I found from goodman was a rule book which now belongs to me. Most of the shops didn't even participate in free RPG day which is really discouraging.

Re: Treasure Box Help!
I went to 4 stores on Sat and only 1 was doing anything for FreeRPG Day. You are correct, it is disappointing and some of the reasons given.... well that's another topic/forum.
I did talk to one store that was doing the free REG day and carries Goodman content. They said they have a couple of the boxes on order but do not expect them for a couple of more weeks.
I'm not sure if there was a disconnect between manufacturer > distributor > retailer but it seems they were not available as soon as thought.

Re: Treasure Box Help!
A publisher can release something, but there's no guarantee that a shop will stock it as soon as possible. It's not like "BIG" commerce, where a Blu-Ray is going to hit shelves all over the country on the same day (because the source of that says, "if you want it, you have to order it now, and it must be on your shelves on X date, but not before that" etc. etc., and "if you don't play ball on this, we won't offer our other stuff to you"...
But odds are that even if they don't carry it, they could order it in for you, ...if they are interested in customer service.

Re: Treasure Box Help!
I mean I always contact my FLGS and have them order the specific products I want for me. I don't expect them to keep big stocks sitting around (and they don't). My store doesn't have my DCC Box in yet anyways so maybe some stores that plan on stocking them don't either.
