GM screen

Post by daddystabz »

Has anyone made a player-made GM screen for the game yet and do you think we will ever get an official one?

Of the products that Joseph could publish for DCC RPG, a screen is the #1 thing I hope he does next.

Insta-purchase for me, if so.

Joseph apparently really likes the one being sold as part of the Tales of the Fallen Empire Kickstarter. In fact, IIRC from a previous update, they're producing a vanilla DCC screen that can be used with ordinary DCC, and a pdf version that is more tailored to TotFE too.

I wish Tales from the fallen empire was actually out so I could have a crack at it.

This needs to be next! It needs to have the awesome art that the modules have!

Agreed. Doug Kovacs makes some really fantastic "old school" artwork. When I made my home-made GM screen, I filled the one side with tables and the other side with Kovacs. 8)

Neat.

Is it useful for generic DCC games or is it specific to Tales?

It's for generic DCC games. I can't remember off-hand, but I think they're doing the TotFE-specific tables on a pdf to print out, instead of on the actual screen itself.

Is this going to be produced for sale? Or for Kickstarter only? Because I think I missed out on the Kickstarter, heh...

Or for use with customizeable DM screens like these: http://www.hammerdog.com/twgs/

I have a Masterscreen Quad from Citizen Games but it's sadly no longer available.

Well, having printed it out, I can't say I'm sure I'll use it -- the tables are presented as transparent over art -- makes it a bit hard to read.

True, the table-free, art only panels are nice, but I prefer the Kovacs pieces I've already inserted in my customizeable screen.
