So another great GenCon came and went... had an awesome massage (even though it looks like the therapist was probing me).
But I did get two awesome treasures! Some may recognize the first original piece of art I picked up...
And the second was a print but was pretty awesome in itself. Signed by Elmore and Mentzer (Frank and I hung out a few times venting about the state of RPGs today but that's a story for another day).

Very nice! I had considered buying some art from Doug Kovacs at GenCon but I couldn't decide what I would do with it or where I would hang it.
I bought some fantasy prints at GenCon years ago and still haven't found a place to hang them. (Quite awesome, actually -- pictures of WWI pilots riding dragons with machine guns mounted on them. I think they are called "Sopwith Dragon" and "Fokker Drake" or something like that.) They sit in my closet, hopefully not getting damaged.

Art is pretty awesome. I make it a point to get a few pieces of original/prints (always signed) every year that I go. I just moved so I haven't had a chance to hang anything yet. Also waiting to finish the basement and make the "gaming cave" where all these pieces can go.
One of my favourites is actually a TMNT sketch by Peter Laird. He's such a cool dude.
Big Iron: Let's try to get some gaming in next time around. I'm pretty sure I saw you at Gen Con in a hotel bar (with a sibling? Maybe? ) right before I went to a game however I was not DMing and had no idea who was playing , or I would have invited you.
Anyway gaming at cons is much more fun than being an untouchable artist.
Hey Doug, yah man I was with my sister at GenCon and two other buddies. I was only able to DM one game in the Hyatt lobby (with a casket of Dragonale btw.) ... and would have loved to play some DCCRPG. You guys planning to be at GenCon next year?
