Actually, Dak, I'm Jobe Bittman. Due to how close the announcement came to Free RPG Day, this *might* actually be a real DCCRPG product instead of a Free RPG Day give away, so you should be able to get it at your local game store. /em crosses fingers

Thanks for all the well wishes. When I wrote my submission, I guess the stars were right... and that's all I'm going to say on the subject until its in print.

It was a great submission, Jobe. All the judges agreed. A lot of people will enjoy playing it.

And to everyone else out there -- there were many good submissions. Overall it was a strong field of contenders. If I am in need of another adventure any time soon, I may be contacting some of the other candidates as runners-up.

Congrats to you, Sir Jobe! I will be gracious in defeat, and hope that there will be a chance of resurrection for my own entry, should the Gods of Goodman see fit ;-) In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing Jobe's creation!

Mr Goodman, Sir, I think many of us on this forum would love to see a list of the contestants and the titles of their entries that were sent out to the judges panel. :D

Hmm, I have to say that I'm not a member of this camp (Sorry headspice!). However, if there is any critical feedback and/or judges' notes that each constestant can read for his/her own submission, then that would be cool for self-improvement purposes.

I guess I might have been a bit presumptuous. I just assumed that if one entered a creative contest, one would naturally be curious if their work made it to a final round of judging. I know I sure am! :o

There were 24 adventures in the semi-final round, then 5 in the final round from which the final decision was made. Here are the 5 titles that made it into the final pool of selections. I will leave it up to individual authors to identify their own work if they would like their names to be public. The titles are:

Cavern Fortress of Kaerbagon
Sinister Sanctum of Tar-Imn-Dei
The Cave of Tomb Eater Hill
The Demon Spire
The One Who Watches From Below (winner)

"The Cave of Tomb-Eater Hill" was my submission. I'm surprised and honored to have made it to the final 5, especially among this talented crowd. Thanks Joseph and judges! :D

"The Demon Spire" was mine and I'm flattered to be in such great company and to have made the final five. I'm a full time game designer working both for my own publishing house and for publishers such as Fantasy Flight Games, Frog God Games and many others.

And I love DCC and remain very interested in doing some writing for Goodman Games.

But in the meantime, you can check out what I'm up here at Fire Mountain Games. I'm just finishing up a six-book campaign for villains called "Way of the Wicked".

Congratulations Jobe!

I wrote the outline for Sinister Sanctum of Tar-Imn-Dei and am honored to have made into the top 24 and the final five, amongst such an accomplished group of adventure writers.

I'm currently making a career change from non-profit management to tabletop and digital game design. I write a monthly game design blog and publish some of my game design work on my website - http://www.stevebeangames.com - so please check me out online!

Unless Goodman Games wants to publish it  I will plan to write the full adventure and post it on my website - I'll announce it here when it's up (I'll have to add it to the long list of projects on my design table including a cooperative card game called KILL HITLER! and a Euro game called Atlantis: The Eroding Empire). I'm happy to post/promote other finalists' work on my site as well.

Gratz, Jobe!

Guess I came sixth as well!

Looking forward to reading your adventure when it's released ...

PS! Mine was called "The Lair of the See-it-All, Know-it-All" .... I was kinda happy with it, so I'll guess I'll write it up and play it through with my group when they reach the appropriate level... :o

Also tied for sixth! You know, I think I neglected to title mine.

I guess that's a good publishing lesson to learn the hard way.
