As I read further I found myself wiring together plots and subplots (like tying the Wizard apprentice Lyssa hook to 51.5 instead), taking notes on potential problems (like finding a way to level 7 too early), adding in small things, etc. Then it hit me. It was like prepping the adventure for play when my group is kind of dead at the moment (due to real life changes, some pretty big, some small). The boxed set got me to eyeball a few other DCCs that I bought including DCC #15 as a possible epilogue as it is semi-linked with a possible sub-quest hook.
The box pretty much carried me back to the heyday of my favorite 1st edition and Basic (Keep on the Borderlands) days, when I was younger and had alot more time for creativity. I cant think of a better compliment for this boxed set. I regret not looking so deep into this before I started my first Paizo AP way back. I love the Paizo stuff but I think Castle Whiterock really matches my style and that of my group in its current incarnation (one and a half new players
