In Search of Adventure - Tides of Doom

I have a question about the Tides of Doom adventure.


Area 2-3 Collapsing Tunnel mentions a collapsing tunnel trap, but no further details. Am I to assume or make up some arbitrary amount of damage to the characters if they fail to see and trigger this trap? Or possibly make an athletics check to avoid being crushed instantly?

One could also imagine if the ceiling collapses then further entry into the dungeon would be blocked....

Has anyone else tackled this adventure yet? How did you handle this area?

I wrote that adventure in the time when 4E was announced but not yet released so I didn't have 4E books to actually stat things out.

Treat it as a rockslide hazard from the DMG (page 87)
