The book Kindling could be used as an entire setting using the OGL parts fm Etherscope real easy.

A book I can heartily recommend is

The Complete John Silence Stories by Algernon Blackwood

I read read it after we'd designed the game and it captures the style of psychics and their powers perfectly!
