DCC #0...not what I expected

So, we got the module in today and I flipped through it...it's not at all what I expected...the Ogre's a runt, the PCs have ludicrous ability scores (and one even has a magic weapon!), Sure there's more going on, but its not nearly the 'utterly ill-equiped' thing it sounded like, when two people are wearing medium armor and one has a Str of 18 with a 2h weapon...

The ogre's a runt because in the earliert playtest sessions, when he wasn't, those townsfolk didn't last very long! I can tell you from my own playtesting session, in the "runt ogre era," that those 1st-level NPC's still die pretty fast if they're not careful -- though you can play it with less-equipped 0-levelers if you want to make it even more difficult.
