Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D source
Very late to the game here, but FWIW I've seen a lot of Halflings played, and I've never felt like they were underpowered to the point of disadvantage. To me, they play exactly like what they are: basically a Hobbit. They can sneak and hide easily, fit into small spaces, have infravision and reduced...

There are so many classes now! I must have at least 50 saved on my hard drive.

Re: DCC Summoner - Yet Another Character Generator
Cool look, reminds me of playing LORD on BBSes. My only gripe is that it doesn't include all the character information: title, XP, etc. If it included all of that, plus maybe moved the birth augur to somewhere less prominent and had a print or export to pdf feature, I'd use it regularly.

Late to the game here, but I also like extended dungeon situations in DCC and prefer them significantly over shorter, one-shot modules.

Re: Turn Unholy
Not undead, no, but each alignment of cleric has its list of what is "unholy" (to it). To a chaotic cleric, "Angels, paladins, lawful dragons, Lords of Law, Lawful Primes, and Law-aligned humanoids (e.g., goblins)" are unholy, so presumably a chaotic cleric could make these categ...

For help... That time has flown by. I think the window has closed. :( You sound a little depressed, but I don't know why. TA is a really cool product; it's just lacking in support. I'd strongly suggest putting out what you have, and I think you'd see a big surge in interest. There's no remotely com...

Release Date for Gongfarmer's Almanac 2021?
Anyone know when this year's GFA will be released? I'm thinking of getting a set of all of them in print, but if the 2021 edition is right around the corner, I'll hold off until it's ready.

Re: Thoughts on Kobolds Stole My Cat! & The Gongfarmer's Revenge
Just wanted to thank Mark Tasaka for the acknowledgement in the recent Greenleaf adventures he's published (The Cat and the Resurrection, Beneath the Giant's Head, and Murt's Miscalculation). We're still playing our Greenleaf-related campaign, and I'm excited to work these new modules into it!

Re: Core setting
I think it's just growing so quickly from 3rd party sources & GFA especially, it would be almost limiting to put out something like #35 for it, just my $.02. Kind of like how the Annual was "the supplement that wasn't needed."

Nice stuff. I linked it here for anyone wanting to see it directly: https://nwaepa.blogspot.com/search?q=dm+screen
I personally find myself using crit tables more often than the Turn Unholy table, so I should probably do one of these too at some point.

Re: Running DCC with One player and One GM
Is it possible? How do you go about it? Have any of you done so? If so how did it go? I've done it, and it works fine. If you think of video game RPGs, you often have one player controlling 3-8 characters, so it's not really different from that. The big difference to me is that combat seems a bit m...

Re: That dice chain
buy and manage all those dice The only one that's tricky to simulate with "regular" dice, and it's barely tricky, is the d7 (and by extension, the d14). The simplest way is to roll a d8, but re-roll anytime an 8 comes up. Simulating a d3 is easy, a d5 likewise. A d14 is using the d7 metho...

I don't think they're overpowered, but I see what you're saying. IMO they make up for, say, a wizard's frailty and unreliability in battle though, so there's that to think about.

Trend of Overpriced Kickstarters
I was excited to be notified of KSes for some new modules, but $8.00-$10.00 for a funnel PDF, no stretch goals? Maybe I'm a frugal crank, but even the official Goodman DCC modules are $6.99 -- and $4.00 when they're on sale! I would love to see these come down in price in general, with more rewards ...

Re: Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad #4-6: Abandoned Kickstarter?
"Artists are flaky" is hella weak, not to mention insulting to artists. It's a compliment. It really isn't though. Plenty of artists set deadlines and meet them and refund their clients if they can't deliver. Those who don't, don't keep getting work. The question is, at what point are ref...

Re: Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad #4-6: Abandoned Kickstarter?
"Artists are flaky" is hella weak, not to mention insulting to artists. I've backed quite a few KS projects and have never had one fall through like this before. "He will either do it or he won't" is also just an obvious statement of fact, not a defense. The question is, at what ...

I hope they are too. It's looking highly doubtful as Adam has posted a couple of "updates" this winter which consisted of two pieces of art -- basically what you would expect as a teaser going IN to the project, not long after it was due -- and a half-apology. No updated timetables, nothin...

Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad #4-6: Abandoned Kickstarter?
It looks like there's another Brave Halfling Publishing situation going on at the Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad #4-6 Kickstarter. Three issues were promised for July through September 2019 by creator Adam Muszkiewicz, over $7000 was pledged, and absolutely nothing has been produced so far (April 29 2020). ...
