The real question is: why hasn't this particular thread been hit with the spam yet...?

Why didn't Peter fly his damn self away to explode? Right. And when they were wondering where Peter was, why didn't they just ask Molly? Since HRG 'randomly' found him on the street they may be what they did, but earlier he had said "where's Peter?" as if he didn't have the ultimate track...

A year ago February, at DunDraCon 30, a company familiar to you all hosted the running of Iron Crypt of the Heretics. I signed up, and on the morning, it turned out the other players were all a group that played regularly. They had convinced the GM that they wanted to play ~evil characters~ [cue spo...

They've obviously made efforts to make Sylar sympathetic, successful or not... I'm thinking he could be the one that goes boom in Peter's place - thus thte future we saw is not the 'real' future. But then again, shows like this I try not too think to hard about -- I just try to enjoy each episode as...

--heavy influences from Gibson & Sterling's Difference Engine , <activate butt-in mode> Ah, the Difference Engine! There is something so gameable about it...! I ran a Call of Cthulhu campaign in the mid-90's in part based on it. Well, it and the kitchen sink... Maybe the most memorable game I r...

Completely and utterly off-topic, but...

Does the ranger have an animal companion named Richard or Dick? I'm sensing a naming theme there....

DC what I mean?

... Gygax and company envisioned the 'typical gamer' as being someone like themselves at the time - namely, probably a guy in his 20s or 30s. ... Well, that's true, and I'd say I knew that, but have you looked at the encounter table in question lately? I must confess a lack of firsthand knowledge o...

What a slice of nostalgia that is, in a strange sort of way... I haven't read that pamphlet for years, probably the last time was 15 or more years ago in a game store in Berkeley, where they had a tattered photocopy taped up on the side of the shelving that held the D&D books. Sadly, back in the...

Yeah, me too. C&C revitalized my gaming; I went from burnt out to running three different campaigns, and loving it. Not having tired C&C and not knowing much about it, the above comment makes me wonder exactly this: Were you playing D&D d20 with tons of books, or more or less just Core ...

Thanks for all the suggestions, reference and imperatives! I'm excited because I've thought through most of the points made by Messrs. Goodman and Ferguson and I'm thinking how to incorporate those elements I hadn't considered (I hadn't specifically thought of putting in an "Easter Egg", b...

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm writing more today in fact, and that alacrity is helpful. I may or may not write the whole shebang before submitting it - the guildlines ask for 20K words of sample writing, and since I don't have anything else published, I figured I might as well write the idea I wan...

DCC Submission - Hopeful, but wondering...

So I'm sticking my neck out in a public forum to say, I'm writing a spec DCC to submit... Haven't told even my friends yet, and now you know. My biggest question is this: Do all encounter areas need to be either C, P, or T? Level 2 is event-based rather than strickly mapped out (which may be another...
