Worker: Universal Gargantuan mech (full stats below)

The Worker is a general purpose, utilitarian mech that comes in 2 versions (man or steam powered). It is fairly cheap, easily built, and has plenty of space available for modifications. Its built in weaponry can also be used as tools. Its design is widely available(almost as if someone wanted people...

Re: So, with 4E out later this week..

Id it just me, or does it read more like a description of a video game than a PnP game? the format, power style, descriptions of classes and roles, magic items, pretty much everything could have come from just about any top line fantasy video game. Yes, thats the idea. The first D&D MMO was a f...

The Nameless Clan

In any honorable society, there is always a place for those who will do the things that are dishonorable, but necessary. Within the Irontooth, the Nameless clan fills this role. Of course many will tell you that they are only a myth, a boogey man used to scare children, while others will tell you th...

Re: DragonMech Questions

A few questions about Net Cannons (Mech Manual). #1 do net cannons make ranged touch attacks, and #2 what are the ranges for net cannons? The Mech Manual only has a - in the range column for them, which I presume is a mistake.

Re: What are you interested in seeing?

Well, based on the answers here I think I will plan to post something flavorful, with a little bit of new rules. I'm going to give you some information on a group called the Nameless Clan, a whispered rumor among the Irontooth. Anybody interested?

What are you interested in seeing?

Since I haven't been getting much response to the stuff I've been posting recently, I decided to ask you what you want. Do ypu want Fluff (Groups and Places), Gear (weapons, steam powers, and magic items), Rogues Gallery (allies, NPCs, and enemies), Training (tactics & tricks for adventurers), R...

Re: Project Basilisk

The immovable rods idea sounds promising. How would you get it to secure the dragon? I was actually thinking of it being part of a mech armed with either barbed sword blades or hooked axes. If a creature pushes against an immovable rod, it must make a DC 30 Strength check to move the rod up to 10 f...

Re: Project Basilisk

One thing you haven't allowed for it to effect the mech's hammer, you need to use Combine Spell Metamagic, which I don't think you can use with wands, for Greater Mighty Wallop. You might want to try a magic hammer with the Bane (Lunar) trait instead. I would be tempted to go with a larger mech arme...

So those were the Mk.2 Lancers . I don't seem to be getting any response to the mechs I've been posting, so is everyone tired of them? Or should I continue to post my fevered imaginings, like the Mk.3 & Mk.4 Lancers , Or the Ninja , the hidden mech of the Nameless Clan of the Irontooth. Only you...

Re: Project Basilisk

I've noticed one thing really lacking among the mechs: dragonslayers. At least, it really stands out to me when I look at the L'Arile Nation churning out Rodwalkers, when lunar creatures effectively have improved evasion against the fireballs. What about the Icicle ( Mech Manual )? It specifically ...

Scepter's Shield: Elven Large Animated mech (full stats)

The Scepter's Shield was developed by the Elves of Tannanliel, for their military forces. Their mid-level military casters are known as Scepters, and are the most common rank used to support the Thorns, Tannanliel's Infantry group. The Scepter's Shield was designed to provide a caster with protectio...

Re: Lancer Mk.2: Elven & Stenian Gargantuan mechs (full stats)

The Elven Lancer Mk.2 is most commonly seen in the hands of high level Hereal Rangers (also know as Mage jockeys from 2nd Age of Walkers ), as most of their special abilities are limited to mechs of Gargantuan size or less. While many start out with standard Lancers , the Mk.2 allows higher level ch...

Lancer Mk.2: Elven & Stenian Gargantuan mechs (full stats)

These are basically upgraded versions of the lancer mechs from the book. The Stenian Lancer Mk.2 is a result of elite Stenian mech jockeys who liked the Lancer's weapon's layout, but wanted a more powerful mech they didn't need extra crew & arcane abilities to use. And here are the stats: Size: ...

Righteous Lancer: Irontooth Huge Clockwork mech (full stats)

This mech is a design most commonly used by the Mech Templars ( Steam Warriors prestige class) of its namesake clan, the Righteous Lancers. Because many of the Mech Templar's abilities affect only huge or smaller mechs, it is designed to be more powerful than the typical Huge mechs. While the weapon...

Re: DragonMech Battles Designer Diary #4

Actually, I'm not suprised that the Bastion is a favorite of many adventuring groups. It has enough room for an typical party, but is inexpensive enough that if a group pools it's gold it should be able to afford it at 3rd or 4th lvl. It should also be readily available, as an older unit, phased out...
