The Swords Trilogy
Reading this again for the 3rd time. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x129/_zothique_/SwordsTrilogy_zps58351f6b.jpg From the introduction: In those days there were oceans of light and cities in the skies and wild flying beasts of bronze. There were herds of crimson cattle that roared and were tall...

Re: [Please contribute] Memento ideas
Little late to the party, but I didn't see these: 74. Necklace made from the hair of the deceased (real thing we used to do here in the US) 75. Exciting Underwear from the deceased (even stranger if they wear it too) 76. Box of Fingernail clippings from the deceased 77. Character actually wears the...

Re: Appendix N - after 1978.
The Horseclan Series by Robert Adams has the Appendix N vibe.
One could probably find many Warhammer Fantasy novels that also have that feel. Gotrek and Felix? Totally Appendix N!
I also like the Brak the Barbarian books by John Jakes:

Re: a modest proposal
The Land of Ooo would definitely be a cool setting. *thumbs up*
I don't know that I would call the Ice King the main villain. He's a victim of the crown he wears. They might be planning on saving him at some point.
There seem to be worse entities at work behind the scenes. Also Appendix N

Are there official rules for firearms? I see issue 8 of Crawl! fanzine has rules for firearms.

Re: Appendix N Comic Books
I've been a long time fan of Richard Corben . His graphic novels Bloodstar and Neverwhere are definitely Appendix N comic books. Also look for his Creepy collection as well as his Edgar Allen Poe collection , they are fantastic. He's worked on a lot of other stuff too; Hellboy, Batman, Conan, Luke C...
