Re: Anybody still playing Etherscope?
I hope not personally Then let the setting fade away instead of introducing it to the largest group of D&D players -4th Edition players. A few of the people in my gaming group thought Etherscope looked pretty cool, but we play 4E. *Shrugs We've been playing a lot of 4th ed D&D at our club b...

Re: A Homebrew Adventure
I've edited my adventure for spelling mistakes and poor grammar and made a change to the end game since I forwarded the pdf to you. The change to the end game allows Moloch to summon demonic minions as I realised that without a distraction the New Reich Marines alone would make short work of Moloch ...

Re: A Homebrew Adventure
Tad,
Thanks for offering to look over what I've written.
It's very much appreciated.
I've sent it to you as a pdf attachment from my hotmail address. If there's any problem with it I can resend from my works e.mail instead.
Thanks.

A Homebrew Adventure
Well, I've written an adventure for use with the Etherscope game. Now its finished I'm not too sure I'm entirely happy with it, maybe its a little over complicated at the end. But I've learned lessons and am eager to try my hand again and improve on my efforts. However, after spending quite a few ho...

Re: Aereth and 4E
[snip] I called my local shop and they're not participating in Free RPG Day. They claim it costs them too much money. So no Punjar: The Tarnished Jewel for me. : ( No Punjar for me either. I have bought several DCC products but as my local store isn't doing Free RPF day I can't get Punjar: The Tarn...

Re: Rewards in Etherscope
When in the Scope itself; How do you spend money? If the Scope has no physical equipment or objects then money too surely has to be 'crafted' and this money cannot be transferred back into prime reality. So how do you retain any wealth you might make in the Scope?

Re: Rewards in Etherscope
Thanks for the input guys. It helps a lot. Nigel, What you have posited is basically what I wanted to do. I need the npc to offer money as a motivator, otherwise the players may decide why should their characters do what is asked of them? I also intended it to be spent and not reflect a permanent we...

Rewards in Etherscope
I have not played etherscope yet. Nor has anybody at my gaming group. I am attempting to write my own adventure to run. I need to ask what to many of you may seem a silly question. I need one of my npcs to offer monetary reward to the PCs. Does this take the form of a bonus to weath? i.e +1 wealth t...

Scope Jacks
To be sure on this point: You don't have to be an enginaught to take the minor or major cybernetic apps feats? So any class of character can have cybernetics, not just the enginaughts? In otherwords any class of character or npc can have a scope jack implant? What do you guys imagine would be the mo...

Re: British Army Special Forces
The two elite special forces regiments are the SAS and the SBS. As airpower in Etherscope is airship based I don't think an SAS would develop. But with the increased prominence of the naval power in Etherscope I would imagine that the Special Boat Services would definately exist. The American equiva...

Next questions :? Under Scope hacking there are various stages involved in gaining access to data/records each involving Scope Use checks. 1. To find locate the data within the domain (which could be any size domain). 2. Defeat document security. 3. Download the data. My question is what is physical...

Actions in the Scope
I'm attempting to write my own adventure but I don't fully understand some of the aspects of the game. So some questions for you: 1. Do characters feel physical pain in the Scope? In other words if you capture an npc avatar can you force that npc to reveal information? If you do feel physical pain w...

Is Etherscope Dead?
I read the previews and such recently and found Etherscope to be a really interesting concept. I found a copy of the rule book at my local gaming store and bought it. I'm kind of treating it as an interesting piece of fiction as there appears to be no real support for the game. Is Etherscope a dead ...
