Re: Mutant Crawl Classics (??)
From what I can gather from my VAST unground network(AKA Sammy the Giant Sentient Mutant Ant Hive with a dartboard/wee gee board that gets totally #$%$faced on fermented Honey that I feed it) is that the plan is to keep hyping this mother up till we literally explode and money just rains down all ov...

Re: "Fixing" DCC RPG
Oh don't take my obnoxious bluster as real. That is the way I run things at the moment but I'm just as likely to try a house change tomorrow as not. To be honest though, Kill the Wizard should probably be the name of the game even without Spellburn. My players in general don't spellburn. They know I...

Re: "Fixing" DCC RPG
I agree that Magic in DCCRPG is wild and can get crazy pretty fast. More than other games it needs a careful overseeing by the guy running the game. I don't see Spellburn as a bad thing myself. Sure, for a one shot If I felt like it was ruining the fun perhaps I might just have things turn out badly...

Re: How do you convert D&D character class levels to DCC?
If I was going to convert(I wouldn't) I would divide the D&D level by two. A 10th level 3.5 Fighter would be a 5th level character. A 20th level 3.5 character would be a 10th level character in my DCCRPG game. However, I have asked all my players to just start new characters because DCCRPG is a ...

It works ok as a rough guide but only for that. Some of the monsters are not too far off but some need major adjustment.

Re: DCC RPG Annual on the horizon?
Never change the name! At this point the Annual is mixed into the background/lore of DCCRPG.
If they ever do even print one up like 10 years after the rule book was put out, I hope it contains a back cover add like page for whats in the next Annual! What a Hoot!

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
I agree that the Halfling is lacking compared to some of the other class's. That said, I still find them very fun to play and while I might not be anywhere close to the (Star) in combat that the Warrior is (or even our Dwarf) I still find that I fulfill a nice little niche of 2nd tier combatant with...

You two slap happy fools done yet? Come on! What is that little book that says Dark Ruins on the cover? Why am I the only one in the dark here? What is that little book? I haven't written an "orc stands in a 10' square room guarding a chest" adventure in years, so don't expect anything so ordinary in "Glitterdoom. . . ." But why is the orc standing in a room the size of my kitchen guarding a chest? :) Dude, that's not a orc! That's your wife!

Re: Are wizards too powerful in your campaign?
Patrons are generally evil selfish godlike beings who create slaves/form alliances with mortals for the betterment of the evil Godlike being. Not that they will never help but that help comes at a heavy price. Loss of sanity,Loss of Soul,Loss of life,Loss of freedom are just some of the drawbacks of...

This Lord of Law indeed always seeks to overthrow Chaos and purge the universe of ...

Re: Race separate from Class
How about we take the best of everything and mix it all together? Remove race from class but keep things unbalanced. Humans still get the shaft a little but just about EVERYONE is human. New characters still roll on the charts like always,if you want to BE a Elf you better, roll a Elf! This stops the...

Weapons do D6/2D6
I'm thinking of changing weapon damage to a simple D6 for one handed weapons and a 2D6 for two handed weapons. I'm just kinda tired of EVERYONE running around with either a longsword or a Great Axe. The change really wouldn't change the damage a whole heck of a lot but it might free people up to cho...
