Re: Did a free thing for DCC
Looks great Paul! Perfect if I want to run a game featuring the characters stuck in the past from Frozen in Time (including Torp the Well-Endowed...who I was sad got left behind...lol).

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
I guess, I see the ability to share luck at 2x the rate, and recover it more quickly as balancing out any other factors vs. the Warrior/Dwarf. Plus, they are a totally different character to play, and bring other things to the party. Their ability to sneak silently is also a big plus when used creat...

Re: Hi! New member here
Welcome! Let us know how your players like it. My experienced players had some initial doubts, but the system sucked them in...now they all love it. I haven't had a single request to go back to D&D.

Re: 20 point spell burn
If you don't roll the spell check die, then you would not be able to get the higher spell check results like the 32+ options...or am I misunderstanding the question? Plus, a natural 1 is always a failure and corruption (I don't let them spend luck to avoid corruption). My players always roll the spe...

Re: DCC RPG 4th printing: What do you want?
So, just last week I swore off of buying any more alternate covers. I have the 3rd printing, the Easley, and the Wizard. I would like to acquire the gold foil, but can't pay the after market price. That being said, I am a sucker for the new covers...and a completest collector. For me, I could be ent...

Re: Attention Peril on the Purple Planet Purchasers (boxed s
I just realized the Purple Planet box I got at Gen Con is an Author's Edition! Unfortunately, I got VII, which has already been posted. :( I don't suppose anyone at Goodman Games may decide to contribute, or put them in next year's Annual? That must have been a welcome realization! I hope they rele...

Saving throws
Now that my players are getting characters into the second and third level range, a question popped up about saving throw modifiers. Obviously, when a player moves from zero level to level one, they add the level one bonuses of that class to their existing saving throw modifiers. So a zero level wit...

Re: Advancement
Question -- For example, Sailors of a Starless Sea -- it's kinda long for a funnel...especially with the new Summoning Pits/Area H in the new digest copy... How would you run this? Do you let the characters level before the end? The climax seems a little tough if all the PC's are still zero level. ...

Luck questions
I am curious about how some of you use luck...especially any house rules regarding it. Some questions to get this started: 1. Do you let spellcasters avoid corruption by spending luck? I know this is the rule, but I figure nobody would ever get corruption then, so if they roll too low, I stick em wi...

Yeah, I already don't allow luck to avoid taint or corruption. They can avoid losing the spell if they spend enough, but they still get the corruption.atlascott wrote: And maybe allow bonuses beyond this but perhaps with Corruption and/or Patron Taint not avoidable with Luck burn.

Re: module compability
I don't know much about Lankhmar, but I don't see myself changing much. Even if Lankmar stories don't have clerics, I can't imagine my game without one. I will probably just run Lankhmar as another alternate planet or dimension for my DCC campaign and use all the same rules and characters.
