Re: Well of the Worm question (DCC *OR* 3.5 version)...SPOIL
Ogrepuppy, I've run this little gem of Harley's twice using the original 3.5 module for my Castles & Crusades gang but I don't have the adventure in front of me, so I'm working off memory. I did change the feral elves to imprisoned elves (the first time) or men (the second time). Both times the ...

Re: Avoiding corruption/misfire with luck
DM Cojo, I think the player has the option to avoid the corruption by using a luck point. They do not avoid the "1" role, just the corruption element that comes from it if that is the outcome. And they do have the benefit of opting to use the luck point after the corruption has been select...

Re: What DCC Needs Is.....
Exactly like DCC 39! I use that one even for games that aren't 3.5. It caused confusion when I was running Heroes Unlimited at a con one year and that was my screen. :) Yep, I too use the screens for my Castles & Crusades game. The C&C screen (the older one that is a tri-fold and not printe...

Re: Epic adventure series leading to all out war
TSR put out it's H-series, Bloodstone Pass, during the 2nd Edition years. It had major wars in it and was for high level play. That's all that comes to this tired mind this morning. Good luck. My gaming has always wound up being a collection of short stories with very little long story arching campa...

Re: Dodge and Parry in DCC combat
I'd rule if a PC wants to fight defensively, his "action dice" drops by one die and he adds a +1 to his AC. If the PC wants to only be defensive in combat, i.e. declares he is not going to attack but focus upon keeping the weapons at bay from him, I'd grant him a +2 to the AC, but the PC c...

Two screens, like the old AD&D screens or like DCC #39 (with an adventure included).Lord Kjeran wrote:DM Screen.

We don't get into details like that in our gaming. It's assumed they have it on them and ready to pull when needed.

Re: RPG Overview #5 The Portal Under the Stars for DCC RPG
This was a good video & I appreciate you putting it together.
I agree that The Portal Under the Stars is a grand way to introduce folks into DCC-RPG.
I split my party when I was a player in the fire shooting statue and we got a lot of dead PCs!

Re: What Campagin Settings Do You Use for DCC?
Like all my campaigns we are more of the "short story" mentality. The PCs move from module to module with little concern of any setting. The background of the campaign is the background the various modules create.

Re: For DCC game this weekend...need two things fast
MrHemlocks, I suggest looking at module DCC #28, Into the Wilds from Goodman Games 3.X modules. This module could suit your needs on both counts. You have Wildgate, a frontier keep, and one of the smaller "mini-dungeons" is a goblin lair. Just expand the goblin lair to meet the size you ne...

Re: Making GG products available on Amazon?
Machpants, I've only recently returned to the forum boards after an almost two year hiatus. One of the things I've really noticed since my return is that Joseph Goodman and Harley Stroh does not frequent them as they used to, or at least do not respond. It may be a bit before they see your post. It'...

Re: Holiday Grab Bag 2014
I got all sorts of interesting things. Sadly, I did not get one of the tee-shirts. :( I did get DCC modules, two for 4th edition and one for the DCC-RPG. I got a module for Call of Cthulhu and a players aid to help with back-stories. I think I netted a few other print products but I don't recall off...

Re: I just told my little girl a bed time story based off of
A DM can take out multiple high level players each round in the finale.
There is precious little the players can do to harm the villain.
Total party kills are quite common for those who unveil the secret end room.

Scavenger Hunt card game is far better then you think it is!
Folks, I've been a follower of Goodman Games for many years and remember when this was first introduced. I thought, "A silly looking card game for $20? No way I'm forking out that kind of money on it." This card game came in the Santa Sack just before Christmas. I also got two DCC-RPG modu...

Hehe, that made me smile... sadly I am to young to have actually played Tomb of Horrors ( a mere 31...) but I get the impression it's almost as dangerous as a DCC funnel :P I've DMed the module twice. The first time with a really good old friend back in the mid-80s. Bryan is still the best strategi...

The Palace of the Silver Princess. She wanted something more after I read her a chapter of The Road to Oz and I'm so tired I couldn't think of anything. All of a sudden the old T.S.R. module B3 popped into my head. It was so much fun. I glossed over it in about seven minutes and it had six noble adv...
