I always assumed it was +2 but now I am not so sure. It does say that they double the bonus of a luck check which also implies that it's double when added to others as well.

Re: will there be a Book of Patrons?

Just a quick note: The King of Elfland is Lord Dunsany (The King of Elfland's Daughter). RC I knew someone would jump on that lol. I suppose instead of saying Tolkien I should have said "traditional" or something like that. Eventually I will read the Appendix N. If I live long enough...

Re: More "crunchy" weapon rules?

This part of the game is something I will tinker with later but the 2-handed weapon issue jumped out at me right away. I don't really want to bump their damage any higher so I have ruled the following: 1. Polearms/Spears: Roll d30 for initiative on the first round of combat. 2. Great Weapons: Roll d...

Love this.

Would make a great patron for a dwarf or gnome wizard or npc monster as well.

I can't get these to work. Are these mobile links or something?

Edit: Doh, I just need to hit the desktop link above. Figured it out.

Well a big part of your issue is the exploding dice on a critical. That should be the first change.

If it doesn't reach $15,000 I really hope that goal is offered up as an optional upgrade.

How do we place an order for Issue #2? Will you create a link or do we need to make notes in paypal each time?

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice

I appreciate that there are those who don't mind rolling dice and doing math or re-rolls or other work arounds. And I did get a set of game science dice so I could have a complete set, but I am convinced the d5 does not roll fairly on the vinyl chessex mat surface that will always be on our table w...

I am happy also! :-) I would like to have "The Old Isle" however. If we don't manage to make it to $15,000 I hope John puts it out in general release at some point. Same, or uses it as an incentive on the next Kickstarter (maybe at a lower goal point). The only reason I see it being diffi...

Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter

What percentage of the book would you say is setting vs. mechanics/inspirational material?

I never use setting material beyond a bit of inspiration for my own campaigns so I am mainly interested in how much of the book will contain things like the new classes, rules, spells and so on.

Re: (BHP) Appendix N Adventure Toolkits KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!

I have to say I am surprised it has gotten this high this fast. Not because it's not a worthwhile project but because most supporters are going to choose the $20 option and I wasn't sure there was a big enough fan base for DCC (yet). Don't get me wrong, I am a supporter so I was really pulling for t...

Re: Higher Level PC Generator for DCC?

Wow that is awesome already and it's only a rough version. I was reluctant to even consider a higher level test of the system but I would jump right in with this.

Going to see if I can convince my players to try the high level game out first before we start a low level campaign.
