I read this earlier myself, and I was thinking the same thing. :)

Huge swaths of dangerous land with a few scatterings of civilized communities. And a whole host of ruins.

As someone who only contributed a small portion of the boxed set, I have to say, when I saw the real thing...I was mightily impressed. It makes you want to have at least one night each week free. Then you'd be set for the next year or more. :D

Thanks for sharing this, Phil. “Anyone have any idea what we’re looking at, here?” “No idea.” Grundel was already examining the door on the central wall[2]. “I don’t see any way to get this ******* thing open.” How nice to see area 1-1 be so infuriating. ;) And I see you've fleshed out the NPCs a bi...

It's true. Also... These are other matters of business, print run quantities, shipping issues and timing and all that which aren't shared much with lowly cartographers such as myself.... ...and once those are sold out then it's up to the print gods to get things done. See, gods who purvey the Print ...

Hey, Mike. No new planes were developed for Áereth. Intentionally, so that the gods and various planes could be adapted to the standard D&D cosmology or your own. It's safe to say that the world does incorporate the allowable planes in the SRD . As for the Abyss or the Hells, well, those words h...

Well, it's going to be a while still. But the first three in the series are starting to come out now. Bound By Iron Nigh...

Wow, you seem like a really fast and furious DM!
For part 11 of our Eberron/DCC campaign, the PCs will return to Khorvaire to face “The Blackguard’s Revenge” (DCC #12).
Cool. Where will this be set?? Sounds Karrnathi to me!

That said, how interesting might this be if you let the typo stand?

"...the folk of Axebury make their living harvesting timber for the dark glades."

Some sort of sinister cannibalistic treants, perhaps, who want lumber from a rival forest?

Jim, The only reason I might steer away from Myna for love/art/beauty is that this would relegate both her and the tenets of love into that realm of fickle affection. Most settings do this: most goddesses of love are chaotic and flighty, like Sune Firehair or Venus/Aphrodite. They're more about plea...

Tell you what. If you're player does decide to go with Wyshalar, I'll see if I can't toss you a few more potential bits of information about her. Just say the word.

You actually rolled an "18," Quigonjim. In fact, Wyshalar is not detailed in this product, merely listed. There are a handful of other gods, too, who are listed but not given their own entry (not unlike the old Greyhawk books of old). There may yet come a day when these named-but-not-descr...

Yep...I really love the Dream stuff. What's in #35 is really just a small piece of a potentially larger pie. In the very least, you can expect some representation of the Dream in a future DCC product.

There are also at least two new spells in the GM's Gd specifically for the Dream domain.

Ah yes, I have that book. A good one. But all the new domains in there are not open gaming license.

I was amused to see it (or another WotC book) also came up with a Dream domain. I like Áereth's better.

Argamae, where are these domains (such as Courage, Purification, Planning) coming from? When I was working on organizing these gods (and making new ones), I drew from either their original DCC sources or simply worked with the SRD. We didn't want to go creating too many new domains (although there a...

In the Monster Manual , cloud giants are "Usually neutral good or neutral evil," so take advantage of that: they can be both helpers or enemies. They should be both, at times. A faction of helpful giants...and plenty of bad ones. Storm cloud giants. :) And you can bet that the bad ones pro...
