Age of Cthulhu 6: A Dream of Japan

AOC 6 has been annouced for the end of the year. It does look like an awesome addition to the setting and it would be interesting to delve into that era of Japan since this was the time of Japan colonial expension in Korea and China and I'm wondering if we'll get a mini 1920's Japan Gazetteer with ...

Re: International Historical & Archaeological Society

Am sure Joseph is pleased he is not called a Great Old One! :) You work on more ideas for the Society and we'll work on the Powers that Be! I Second that. It's a great tool which colud make a great story by itself or an excellent supplement. The Chthulhu community with be missing something great if...

Re: International Historical & Archaeological Society

You should totally do that, Mike. Write it up and fully flesh-out the IH&AS. I think this would be an excellent resource. So true. Maybe make it the Center piece of AoC7 or * or whatever. Where the Adventure takes place within one of the Chapter house (or the HQ), I'm sure we could easily have ...

Re: Campaign Journal

Stupid advice probably: -Read the adventure completely to have a feel for it; -During the week before every session: Reread the part you are about to run to refresh your memory; -Look at the map as you are rereading it: Plan tactics, use the terrain to it's fullest, the enemy has been there in ages ...

I'm drooling of anticipation...or is it madness??

I can never remember quite right which one is one.

The Madness is the good one, right??

I preorder AOC5 a couple days ago, so soon.

AOC6, not before the 4rd quarter, I would say. Maybe even news years 1st quarter.

Re: Age of Cthulhu 5: The Long Reach of Evil

The Symbol on the obelisk looks like Katakana (japanese alphabet) so in hindsight, I'm going to lean more toward Japan, then China.

Maybe Korea because between 1910 and 1945 it was the Japanese Colonial Era.

Re: New CWR Campaign started... TPK first room!

The other thing I noticed is that you had a relatively 'small' party (only 4 PC Level worth instead of the 6-12 recommanded) that might also be a factor in this case that could explain a TPK.

Maybe dropping the number of monster by 33% might help prevent an early TPK.

Re: Castle Whiterock Question (new question added about map)

Thank you very much for clearing this up. And in the map booklet I've noticed 2 little thing on the maps for level 12 (the Duergar keep) 1) Room(s) 14 doesn't show up on the map. I've check all 3 maps and I can't seem to locate it. However on the first map the 2 or 3 rooms to the right of room 11 (n...

Re: Castle Whiterock Question

The answer is here.

Essentially there's a missing paragraphes that link level 6 (room 6.7 IIRC) to a tunnel (you make it a long as needed)that arrives at the door of the library.
