Re: Spellburn to regain a spell - time

I allow it to be cast in the same round. I treat the spellburn action as extra component for the spell. I also only allow one casting per spellburn.

Re: Support the Purple Sorcerer!

I'll help. I use the Crawlers Companion all the time and tell all my new players to download it. They all can't believe that it is free. Thank you for this great app.

Free RPG Day at The Comics Club

I ran my sixth road crew game of the year on free rpg day. I ran Frozen in Time as a zero lev funnel with the cavemen. I used the Purple Sorceror generator to make a stack of pre gens. I had three players with three cavemen each. This was my smallest group so far this year. Two kids joined us mid ga...

Alkivasha DCC Patron

This is a patron I developed over time in my home campaign. The game has become inactive because of work schedules. I did a patron swap with a member from the forums and received some good advice about making Alkivasha better. The original intent was to create a beholder combined with an ooze. Howev...

World Tour 2014 #79.5 Tour of the Black Pearl

This was my second game with the LRPG. I ran Tower of the Black Pearl for my home game in 3.5 a couple of years ago. It was interesting to try it with the DCC rules. With 3.5 the group was successful and recovered the pearl. With DCC it was almost a TPK and two survivors had to run for their lives. ...

Yes. Even if it said that the weapon broke I would rule that the shot got off first.

World Tour 2014 DCC#67

My first game this year 4/25 at the Lakeland Role Playing Guild went well. The guild meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month at a Unitarian church. Their goal is to provide a safe and fun atmosphere in which to participate in the hobby of gaming. I think that is exactly what they are doing and...

Linking the covers together is a cool idea. Was there an inspiration for that or did the thought just pop in your head one day?

Re: Frozen in Time as a Funnel

There's a wonderful savagery that takes hold of a bunch of glass blowers and haberdashers when they've just seen a couple of the group ripped apart by a sabre-toothed monster. Not one of them objected when they decided to lower the orphan over the edge of the glacier as a test subject to make sure ...

Re: Do you have go-to voices for your NPCs?

A former DM of mine used to do voices for his NPCs. They were all great except for one. The pirate voice ended up sneaking out for every evil NPC we came across. It always made us chuckle every time it happened.

Re: Alignement Question

I'm the same as RC. I figure that zero level dudes are nobodies. They don't have a higher calling to adventure, they don't have a real passion to change the world. They're like Luke Skywalker prior to meeting Obi-wan Kenobi, where they may be restless but have zero motivation to actually do anythin...

Re: Charm Person and the Carnifex (spoilers)

1. I would not have let the pious get charmed no matter what the dice said. They are to far gone to come back. They long for death in battle give it to them. At the very least I would make Azazel immune to the charm. He is the end boss and should get to cheat a little. I can't imagine this adventure...
