Re: Which campaign setting would be best for DCC?
So, Points of Light, is still for sale on this site. Are the prices for the print versions or PDFs? I thought the print versions were long gone. No, they're not still for sale on this site; there's no "add to cart" button for either PoL book. They can still be found from other online reta...

It's also worth pointing out that Blackmarsh is FREE to download. So, if you want to read the whole thing you can, legally, free of charge, in pdf format.

Blackmarsh. Goodman's Points of Light even contains another section of the Blackmarsh setting if you find you want to expand it.

Re: Centaur Character Class
A few random thoughts: Armour costs for them should be seriously ramped up; they'd have to wear a combination of barding and human armour to be effectively protected, so going for the x4 cost for armour (as in horse barding) doesn't seem amiss. They may also have to consume double the amount of food...

Re: Jumping for distance.
I don't bother having folks roll unless it's appropriate in terms of the distance being "maybe jumpable" (as GnomeBoy noted), and if they only miss the roll by a point or so I give them a roll to grab the ledge as they fall. Much more dramatic that way. I also never give them exact distanc...

Re: Decent Pics of Halflings, Anyone?
I think Elmore pretty much redefined the Halfling in my books :) Ugh. I love some of Elmore's older works (he does great snowy landscapes), but this particular pic is something I don't; the whole 3e-style "microelves/microhumans" redefinition of halflings in 3e was not a good thing, imo. ...

Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
I doubt they'll ask for a shipping address until they're actually ready to ship. Too much time between starting layout, printing, and being ready to ship to make it useful; in that time period, folks could easily have changed address, so it makes more sense to wait until you're ready to pop 'em in t...

No worries. It does look like most online stores over here in the UK (at least the half dozen I checked) are out of stock though, so it's probably best to grab a copy quickly if you want one.

Re: Classic (A)D&D Modules Ideal for DCC
Strip the ideas out of a module and do the conversion on the fly. The setting, plot, and weirdness of these modules is more important than the nuts and bolts of game mechanics. I prefer to convert prior to play even when I can convert on the fly and have done so before; less to think about mid-flow...

Classic (A)D&D Modules Ideal for DCC
What with the recent re-release of many of the old classic modules in pdf, I realized it had been a long time since we discussed which old modules would be best suited to the DCC RPG in terms of content, so that lead to the obvious question of what you would recommend? I don't own many of the old mo...

Re: Why did you buy (or not buy) Attack of the Frawgs?
If it helps anyone, he has noted on his blog that it was produced when DCC RPG was in beta, is an adaptation of an earlier D&D module that did very well for him, and that now, having had and run the finished DCC RPG for some time, he'd be making sure the future modules were much darker and more ...

The second printing (with errata and index) has been out for a long time now as the first printing sold out pretty quickly. There are a couple of copies on Ebay.co.uk just now, the standard cover and limited edition cover.

Re: Why did you buy (or not buy) Attack of the Frawgs?
I bought the pdf because I love the DCC RPG, I love Bullywugs, and it looked (cover art) and sounded interesting. The pdf was priced appropriately ($5.00 is a reasonable impulse-buy price for me for something this slim), though I'd prefer a printed version and don't give a monkeys about iPad compati...
