Dinosaur Crawl Classics!

I would love to see a DCC with Dinosaurs, something like a "lost world" or "lost continent/island". Since Broncosaurus Rex was discontinued I am hoping for some re-emergence of Dinos.
Maybe something like this can be placed in the Southlands of Áereth?! :)

I vaguely recall that in the back of the 4th ed Fantasy Hero book (Or maybe it was somewhere else) there were guidelines for converting HERO to 2nd Ed D&D. I also recall they weren't very good and you may as well just take the concepts and remake them from scratch in HERO rather than trying a d...

Update: If anyone is interested, I found some really cool conversion rules (D&D 3 to HERO) from one of the Hero System buffs KILLERSHRIKE: http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/FantasyHERO.aspx @mythfish: You might have build your GLYPH with a Variable Power Pool or a Multipower Framework. Tha...

@GnomeBoy - *laughs* You're welcome! Just share everything you need to let go off. It's okay! *pats GnomeBoy's back* @Mythfish, GnomeBoy: thanks for replying. I think that HERO is arguably the most complete rules set ever written. And it is highly playable, too. A marvelous system. For me the...

Since I really like BRONCOSAURUS REX and would love to see a revision of it (*hint, hint*) I'd stick to the unique system as is.

Otherwise I would stick to GnomeBoy's idea. It's sweet!

HERO SYSTEM 5th Edition Fans?

Hi Folks,

I wondered whether any more HERO fans lurk around here?
Would love to talk about rules, settings and conversions! :)

BUT, I now have had a "fallow period" on Broncosaurus Rex and I'm starting to dabble in the world again. So, no promises, but I wouldn't call it extinct yet... something more may yet come of that world! So, Mister Goodman - that was over two years ago. What's the news? ;-) Still intereste...

Now, I have no idea whether this has been pointed out before, but I couldn't help but notice that the recent "standard DCC intro" states that there are "no new magic items" and "no new monsters", but CW boldly contains two appendices named "new magic items" an...

Well, I think Hackmaster is first and second edition Ad&d on steroids. Heh heh, most aptly put! For those who still cling to the good memories of 1st Edition I would highly recommend HACKMASTER. While also intended as a pun it is a very good, complete and old-fashioned game system that makes a ...

Well, I am tempted to say that your reasoning is reasonably reasonable. At first glance. However, Magistrate Malchor still shows up in the listing of important npcs. Which he wouldn't if the Welwyn enhancement it meant to show the hamlet after what transpires in "Pact of the Dragon Fiend"....

Well, since I seldom use a computer during my games I prefer the printed DCCs. I do use a computer to keep track of adventures and plots, but only AFTER the game session. For tracking the PC's stats and stuff I use Goodman Games' DM CAMPAIGN TRACKER which works really well for me. The main reason fo...

You can be a great diplomat with a blind spot ot two.... Oh, absolutely! It is not my intention to promote this as a glaring error on the author's part. As this applies to the Lady: maybe she has oodles of natural charm and unexpected, untapped 'wisdom' (in the general sense), but as stated, knows nothing of politics, per se. Little knowledge of the outside world, not much book learning, etc. Don't we all sooner or later discover we're good at some...

DCC #11 - some inconsistencies?

Hi all, I noticed that in DCC #11 (Pact of the Dragon Fiend) Welwyn is referred to as a "small town" - which is a term from the rulebooks, concering population density, assets and the like. In the Web Enhancement for Welwyn the place is referred to as a "hamlet". It's just a smal...

Okay, to my above statement let me add: GREAT! Preview #2 is an even more addictive appetizer than #1. I especially love the way the cavern is portrayed as an dynamic eco-system. So in effect you have a wilderness setting ready for exploring - only underground. I know I will LOVE that. Couple of yea...

I realized you might simply be asking if the DCC adventure belongs in Áereth, and not so much about the process of pantheon creation. The answer is absolutely. DCC #29 and Norse mythology?

Couldn't find this elsewhere, so I post it here: The Adventure "The Isle of Fury" from Greg Oppedisano from DCC #29 (The Adventure Begins) mentions some "Scandi bards" (akin to Vikings) and "The Isle of Faroe" as well as "Niflheim" and other bits and pieces fr...
