Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Yes those two do stick out a bit. I quite like the name Valiant. Polymath should stay just for the exact opposite of what I said lol. What's a Polymath? Hmm..I want to play a Polymath. Why? Because I never have!

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Wow, you have been busy! I didn't know you had that much material going on. Thanks for the explanation, the division makes more sense now. Sounds pretty epic. Paragon? Huntsman? Witchfinder? Occultist? That kind of thing maybe? Just names that are more evocative of action rather than description. Pa...

Re: The Ulfheonar's Tomb + Curious Players = End of Campaign
It's tough when a player turns against a game. Maybe just try DCC for them as a once in a while thing and maybe in one session, things might click and be fun for them and off you go... Or pass the game to somebody else to try running from your group. I couldn't enjoy DMing Pathfinder so I gave it an...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
I'd rather see one Transylvanian Adventures rulebook and some follow up adventures than have the Grimoire being a separate thing. A Classic Horror spin off game for DCC would be my cup of tea. I would also rather see character names like Paladin, Explorer, Huntsman etc rather than Redeemable and suc...

Re: The Ulfheonar's Tomb + Curious Players = End of Campaign
Hi. I'd just change the module if the players were getting really fed up. Or change the rules to allow a bit more of a chance against such things. If you have a group that loves the danger, fine but if you have a group or a few players who prefer an easier ride (that doesn't mean they are bad player...

Yes, sorry about that Smathis... Wasn't trying to hijack the thread :D Looking forward to see how the book turns out. I am interested... I totally love the old Hammer, Amicus and Tigon films style horror movies. Can I just ask and sorry if this has already been asked but... Will there be an adventur...

Re: Next Batch of Modules
Can I put in a request for the annual please? Would it be possible to include some comprehensive guidelines on converting 'old' material to the DCC RPG please? I would like to know the best and easiest way to convert 1e, 2e, 3e and B/X or RC material for DCC RPG. Having it officially in print would ...

Yes, let's avoid rules bloat please!
I like the idea of 'this is the game' from Goodman Games.
It was a major selling point. Expanding things through modules and a yearbook sounds perfect..

Well said Ragboy. Stop all those rolls! I remember playing Rolemaster with a Dm obsessed with Perception checks. It drove us mad, just tell us what there is to see!

Cool. Who doesn't like a nice plague? :D I just thought... Maybe you could have a Dragon's Lair where you have a hatchery full of eggs...like a scene from Alien. Then they could all crack open and loads of baby dragons could come out...hungry for their first meal? I think Dragons get left out of rpg...

Re: First Time Judging in 20 years...
I am not the most experienced Dm but a few things I find help... Using the character's names when possible. Not just the player's names or character types. Look 'em in the eye from time to time. I think it helps make actions seem important. If you have a rule or situation argument brewing maybe ask ...

First game that was played where the Dm had done more than just look at the pictures was AD&D1e at my school friends house run by his dad. He was an amazing Dm.

Just watching 'Gladiator' the other day...
Made me think...kidnap some villagers and throw them in an Arena style adventure.
The victors get to live and level up to 1st.
It would be a nice substitute for a quick funnel.
Just a thought.
