I guess I should avoid spoilers here... War of the Witch Queen is great. Short but all-out fun. I don't know how easy the cards would be to use (cut out, etc.), but they are reminiscent of the original Ravenloft module, too. Creepy and influencing of the adventure's development. Yes, the fortune-tel...

What I find more interesting is heroes who do seemingly bad deed for the right reasons. Usually for a greater good, but it demonizes them in the public eye. But then in general I'm not into evil PCs. As a DM and writer, I enjoy writing a villain. But for me it's hard to see the fun in being one.

Joseph, you've got my interest! Educate me? What is this C&C format? I don't know anything about it. What are they doing to The Mysterious Tower differently?

Excuse my ignorance!

DCC #12.5 - The Iron Crypt of the Heretics

I just picked this up, and though I don't really have any place for it in my campaign right now, I'm reallying digging it anyway. The fact that the whole dungeon is actually made of iron is pretty sweet, as are the clockwork traps. Frozen ice bridges, deathblade scythes, nasty driders. Man, this Mr....

My favorite DCC cover and style of cover is The Curse of the Emerald Cobra. It has a comic book style to it that I really like.

But I also really dig some of the Devil Lich interiors such as Skeletor and his friends!

The Great, Great Swamp!

Even though the copy I ordered of Savage Kings has yet to arrive, I was lucky enough to receive an "advanced copy" from the author himself. (Thanks, Harley!) :D I've only had a cursory look through it so far, but offhand I just wanted to say that it's excellent. The concept behind the enco...

Joseph, what's the best and most reliable way of getting a copy of DCC #17 right now? Must have! :D

The best of the gaming stores here in NYC don't have it, yet, and I'm not sure if it's available yet online.

Any word on roughly what date this will hit the shelves? I need to be there.

Me, too. I'm assuming if that was ever going to happen, it would only have done so. It's been 22 years.

Spriggans clean, polish, and protect!

While we're on the subject of old D&D art... I've wanted to share this with someone for years, but I kept forgetting. This product, Thor Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish, by the Thor company, has been under my wife's family's sink for years. The moment I saw it, my memory kicked in and I recog...

James Holloway

Isn't that his art featured in Crypt of the Devil Lich? Man, now that's some good art. There's some wonderous fantasy paintings out there, but there's a special place in my heart for good black and white drawings (perhaps because b&w is what I'm limited to myself). Joseph - How did you get James...

Harley's Mausification

Let me second that. "A Night In Maus" is great. Sure, I'm a friend of the author but the combat descriptions in Part Two and the bantering in Part One was just good solid writing. The pacing is great for short stories.

And now I want a clockwork arm.
