This is a good question...I was wondering the same thing as I prepared to convert either B4 The Lost City or N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God. Good advice too, I will adopt this strategy.

"Frozen in Time" does look good. I ordered it, but don't know if it will arrive before this weekend when I need it. We are running U1 for my 2e game now. Using Gamma World is an awesome idea, I didn't think of. I have the first two Gamma World modules....Legion of Gold may be a good option...

Would love another funnel...
Any chance that another 0 level funnel adventure will be out in the near future? There is great third party stuff, and the Portal Under the Stars and Sailors on a Starless Sea are great, but I would love a new level 0 adventure soon, to run my group through.

At this point, I would buy another copy (my third) only if the slipcase and book had new art and any relevant errata. Otherwise, I would probably have to pass...although the slipcase looks great. I would likely use the slipcase for modules instead of the core book.

Figured it out...
Setting to print as image in the Advanced options in Adobe Reader's printing settings solves the problem...just in case anybody else runs into this.

Weird thing is, that the sheet eventually printed, but it took almost 30 minutes! I don't get it. I have power cycled the printer and PC...with no change...but it sounds like it is on my end, so I will investigate more.

Well, I ran it and I let them level up mid-adventure as they earned 10xp. This happened for a few characters just before they went underground. At least for those who survived from the start. I added replacement level 0's after a few encounters that were very lethal. Having some level 1 spellcasters...

I see in the rules that at 1st level, elves can select one spell to apply their luck modifier to on spell checks. Is this in addition to their 0 level roll for their luck bonus from table 1-2?
