Re: courts of chaos and glipkerios gambit

Can't wait for my copy of "Courts" to arrive. One of my most glorious DCC victories occurred during a playtest run of that module. I'm gonna circle one particular spot on the map with a note: "Here's where it happened."

Re: Is there a Tales From the Fallen Empire POD release date

The most recent update to backers (self included) is that the printed proofs were approved and the printing process (for backers) has begun with shipping to occur in early February. Ergo, after the backers get theirs, they'll probably open up the POD ordering for the public. So sit tight, it's nearl...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

Next time you back a Kickstarter expect to perhaps lose your money, expect to add a year or more the time table if you do get the product. Should I also expect the publisher to take my money (and the extra money he requested later for shipping) then sell the manufactured product to other people with...

Frozen in Time = Fantastic sci-fi fun!

Just got Frozen in Time the other day, and it's become my favorite DCC adventure to date (and they're ALL fantastic, in fact). Frozen in Time has a real "Barrier Peaks" feel to it which is just a ton of fun for ref and players alike.

I picked them all up at Gen Con last year. They're Koplow dice.

Re: DCC RPG Slipcase edition

As much as a slipcover would be a nifty addition, I already have two rulebooks. I don't need (or want) a third just so I can get a box with it. I agree that an official screen, set of dice, or campaign book of the DCC world (you know, stuff I can use during play) would be so much more useful than a ...

Re: Solo Adventures?

Also a solo adventure would give the purchaser a way to run himself through the system, learning as he plays, and -- that way -- be more familiar with the system when it comes time to group play. (Tunnels and Trolls was genius for their solo adventures in their rulebooks, giving the new owner a chan...

Re: Chapter 13 Press Tales from the Fallen Empire...?

I can confirm that the project is nearing an end. James brought me in to assist with the final round of edits, and I personally edited and turned over half of the manuscript a few weeks back. These pages are now undergoing layout, and I believe the other half is at the same stage. So everything is w...

Besides, you do know that all 3PP material is personally vetted by Joseph, don't you, so that there's no rubbish? Don't be too quick to ignore something just because it's 3PP. Colin Bingo. Similarly, the d7 is not included in any sets either. Not that that's a loss; it's a hideously ugly dice anyway.

Re: Official Support

The RECG does more than just create a random critter from a bunch of pieces-parts. It creates a truly undefinable ... something... for your PCs to encounter. rather than an off-the-shelf orc/gnoll/goblin, the RECG lets you create a truly unique creature. I find it incredibly useful. I discussed it a...

Any chance of a re-release of the stylistic DCC RPG cover? Doesn't even need to be in gold foil on black. I really like the simple, but foreboding look of that cover. (After all, you're gonna have it on the new shirts!) Why would you need a re-release? Distributors are still listing the first relea...
