You could probably add the Thieves World books and short stories to the list. I haven't read them since high school twenty years ago, but they very much put me in mind of Lieber, Vance and Howard's episodic style of writing.

It seems that a DCC campaign world would be almost by default be a dying earth type setting. I use my own campaign setting called Loslore (lost lore) which takes place tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of years in the future of Earth or an earth like world. I have never decided for myself ...
