Re: Which is a better Conversion to DCC, Pathfinder or S&W

It sounds like your questions were largely answered in your own statement. :) Go with the S&W version as it is in a format you are already comfortable with and regardless of which you choose, they won't translate directly. The only reason I would consider the Pathfinder version might have been t...

Re: Idea for a DCC product

Over on another chat board we have been having some discussion about DCC. Basically it is the "have you tried it and if not, why not?" One point that was made was having to look up the spells/charts in general and the fact that some of them are printed over more than one page. I don't see...

Purchased and enjoying it quite a bit already.

Quick Question:
The Firearms table lists the damage of a rifle as being 1d5, but I thought the d5 and d7 were dropped from TA? :?:

Re: Playing with the System Part 1

I was thinking you could probably just rename the demi-humans into the races you prefer and their abilities would apply:
Dwarf - Insectoid/Chitinous Alien (shield bash)
Halfling - Mutant (Lucky genes)
Elf - Fey (patron magic)

It's fun to tinker around with the classes, I applaud your efforts.

Re: VOID HUNTERS: Seventies Sci-Fi Gaming...

Awesome! Are there stipulations in the licensing that prevent you from producing an "all-in-one" rendition of the rules? I'd much rather have a complete game in the volume and have the ability to port over items (classes/spells/etc) from the core rulebook. Much of the core rules are a modi...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

I don't see it necessary that Kickstarter be used for a print project. The project can be ready to send to the printer and can solicit pre-orders from direct customers and retail, and then that amount can be printed. In terms of non-printing production costs, well Brave Halfling was able to produce...

GameOgre - fair enough. RC - Two things: 1) I don't think I said that John was a "crook" (I'm not sure I saw anyone say that, but I haven't read everything on this topic). I did absolutely state that I believe he acted unethically, that is to say he did not "conform to accepted stand...

Re: Firearms

I have some basic rules originally by a former DM during the 3.x years that I have converted to DCC. The premise is that there are two types of explosives used in firearms, Smokepowder and Crystal Fire. Smokepowder - is a rare substance mined and controlled by Gnomes. It is very expensive, but relia...
