Encounter 4-2&3 The Blood Canyon Iron Mines Entrance

Encounter Area 2: The Famished Froghemoth

So - I spent an hour composing this post and fumble-fingered and closed the window. Now I can't recover that posting and don't feel motivated to do all the commentary and links to the products in the build. I'm going to post the :30 second commentary and some pictures. I don't even know if anyone re...

Improvised Encounter: Dev'shir Estate

DM's Note: I was able to gather more information about the Dev'shir Estate "Windgate" from Punjar: The Tarnished Jewel.. which was handy given that the Irregulars wanted to go there on the way to Devil's Thumb. Charlie's Agents were full of questions, now it looked like the eldest daughter...

Improvised Encounter: Dev'shir Family Stables

My group has embraced the "whodunnit?" nature of this module whole-hog and so wants to visit all the locations mentioned by interviewees - if time allows. Of course, the module doesn't fill in the details for each Punjar location mentioned. No matter! I'm and an experienced DM and have a d...

Encounter Area 3: The Dev'shire Family Tomb

When entering the City of the Dead at the outskirts of Punjar, the party tested the loyalty of the guards - could they be bribed into allowing a band of thieves into the crypts during the daylight hours? It seemed unlikely, as the attempt was rebuffed. Fortunately, the party produced the key to the ...

Introduction and Encounter #1: Oscar's Pawn Shop

Charles Forsite has a mission for his Irregulars in Punjar - Elam Dev'shir has hired them (through the every illusive Charley) to discover why an amulet buried with one of his ancestors in the family mausoleum was for sale at a local pawn shop. Elam has supplied a drawing of the amulet, the name of ...

Scions of Punjar w/3D Terrain (Paper)

Those of you who know my 3d Paper Terrain post for The Isle of the Sea Drake ( http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=41955 ) will probably be interested in my build (and run) of the Scions of Punjar. Here's my pre-game builds. The final encounters are at the Windmill, which I ...

Scions of Punjar - 3D Build - Windmill

So - This weekend my group will have completed The Sellswords of Punjar so I've started building for what's next (I've got a few weeks break...) Very soon - after a likely side-quest - I will run The Scions of Punjar - which features as a major encounter area a windmill: http://www.goodman-games.com...

Re: What miniatures are good for 0-level play?

(And I have some ideas about a paper miniature creating utility that would allow you to update your character over time with new gear, wounds, corruption... Still very early, but this is likely something I'll be working on in 2013.) That sounds awesome! I know my players would be more keen to use p...

Re: Need 4e Sellswords of Punjar Advice

I submitted my question about extended rests to rpg.stackexchange.com... http://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/16176/alternatives-to-extended-rests The party started with at least one relationship to another member - so when the beggar children were kidnapped from the market square, they recognized...

Re: What miniatures are good for 0-level play?

Another suggestion for paper minis - many designers give them away for free! Check out this sub-forum in particular. I've built dozens of this guy's free paper minis (and will have pix posted here to prove it in a few days..) http://cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=drywtheharper Here...

Encounter C-3 and 2-3: The Pool of Life and The Grotto

[Note: Encounter C-3 The Pool of Life in deep in the woods and didn't really make any sense to me - a healing pool without any nearby encounters doesn't mean much in 4e with extended rests, so I moved it to a fountain adjacent to The Grotto, near where the sea devil was hiding controlling the drake....

Through the secret door, following the water trail lead to dead-ended round room ringed with water-lizard statues and a clockwork structure in the center with it's two hands pointing at 12:00. There was no sign of any secret doors. [I substituted a puzzle for the simple leaver in the module, somethi...

Encounter C-8: Archway Path & D-13: Hopelessly Lost!

Passing through the gate at the end of the city, the Irregulars began the long climb up the cliff sides toward the ruined temple on the peak - this would increase their altitude by hundreds of feet, and lead from cliff-side to cliff-side across rickety bridges: http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g3...
