Re: Long-Term DCC Play
I'm wondering how the "quest" mechanism will work in long-term campaigns. There are a lot of mentions of quests in the book: cleric quests for a sacrifice or to remove disapproval, wizard quests to invoke patrons, quests for rare spell components, etc. Many things that one or more members ...

Re: DCC Alignment question
+1 to Dimitri's awesome explanation. Many times Lawful= good, chaotic= evil. I know that it is not always the case but most of the time it is. I think I may scrap law and Chaos for good and evil. May favorite alignment system was palladium's. Hell, I may even adopt that! Except that the good/evil d...

Re: Older School
I wouldn't call this Older School. I would call it annoying. I prefer less detail in my gaming. We aren't playing Bugbears and Barter. I hate, hate, hate keeping track of money as a player. We go into town, stay for a few days, I mark off 3 gold and call it good enough. The reason is that causes cl...

We get your email address as part of the ordering process (based on your account with Paypal). If you would like the PDF to go to an address other than your Paypal email address, let Keith (at) goodman-games.com know the desired address. OK, thanks. Looking forward to it!! and there will be a way to pre-order through my local game store, right? Yes! There will be a downloadable pre-order form that will allow you to get the same offer through a brick-and-mortar store, at the same price. Actually a little cheaper because there won't be shipping charges. Excellent. This...

I don't want to miss another deadline...so I just won't announce the deadline. :) I think it will be an April release, based on the rapid progress that's being made, but there's a reason the web site just lists "Spring" at the moment. As soon as I can commit to something solid I will anno...

I've been trying to hold out so I can buy it from my FLGS (they need the sales), but this is making it harder. Any way we can pre-order through a local store? Yes, any pre-order offer will also be available through brick-and-mortar stores. I always like to make things easy on them. When the final d...

I love the box idea! Terrific product idea. On the subject of DCC RPG pre-orders, I think I already mentioned that there will be a drawing for original art by some of the old-school artists involved in the project. On a similar note, what do you guys think of an exclusive module, available only to ...

Re: Alternative to "3d6, in order"
In a game we just finished, we created characters by rolling 4d6 (drop lowest), and assign to an attribute. Then repeat, but this time there are only the 5 remaining attributes to assign it to. Continue until all 6 have been generated.

Re: Will we see the next updated draft?
You obviously haven't read Jack Vance's Dying Earth! All Wizards are greedy, selfish, secretive and conniving, because you HAVE TO BE when you're one of the few that can harness a rare, powerful and dangerous thing like Magic--it doesn't mean you have to be evil. DCC plays to that type of wizard to...

Re: Updated Cleric Class
I had an odd thought while driving home yesterday -- Why have a Cleric class at all? Wizards use "patrons" and clerics use "gods." Potato Potaahto in my mind. Make a class called "Adept" or something less wishy-washy and have the adept choose a _Patron_ that grants the...
