I don't like TND and RC interpretation (though it is the most natural reading of the text) because it becomes not necessarily obvious that you want to save your buddy who's bleeding out. Allow me to be the descenting vote on this. I totally agree that Cthulhu and his cultists (notice the big C under Deep Ones' alignment) are highly chaotic. I use Deities and Demigods out of sentimentality anyways but if I were to use the gods from the book, I would change it to C.

As a GM, I allow it ( luck for MDoA). Don't know if that is the intent of the rules but if the warrior wants that kill, they are welcome to test the gods for it.

DCC has casted a Raise Dead on my RPG gaming! Now if I can animate my dead party of players. Keep the modules coming. So far they all kick the hindquarters good when the party shows up.
