Re: What DCC for a pirate/nautical campaign?

Okay, I am using the Smugglers Cove as an access way to Skullshank's Oculum Infernae hideaway, as part of DCC 14. In DCC 14 there is the gateway, the four triangles inside a circle which are keys to the way in, that have to be found. I have transposed that to the Smugglers Cover. Khalil and Dormind...

Re: What DCC for a pirate/nautical campaign?

We play tonight. I have found places to hide the four keys to Skullshank's private sanctuary, such as the harpie's nest for the Air key, the temple for the fire key. And, I have figured out how to put limits on the Rod of Hirrward, which traps elementals. For each new one that Khalil traps the capa...

Re: DCC #44 Duergar Mash Up

An interesting turn of events with two I play this adventure with. Both are experienced first person shooter gamers who are intrigued by this type of gaming. We have traveled a bit together, starting with the Dragon Fiend Pact and such. And now we are halkfway down Forge of Fury & the Duerger C...

Re: DCC#50 Vault of the Iron Overlord

Must agreed; reading the overlord now makes me want to mash it into the mud sorcerer. I am a big fan of tricks and traps like this, where there is a fair chance for success and failure.

Are there other modules like this?

Re: Eye of The Night - What are its Powers?

As is my want, I have made a change or two. All of this, the campaign and setting and such, should be malleable to your situation. I like the end of EotN, but each step, as provided, seems rather short. So, to make approaching a conclusion a little more substantive I opted to tack the last bit of E...

Re: DCC #44 Duergar Mash Up

(much easier to do this at a computer than with the phone) The aim is to use the top two floors of FoF along with floors 3 & 4 of DCC 44, the back end of which abuts to a proper construct. That would allow me to reintroduce the part of FoF that deals with the former Dwarven occupants (and their...

DCC #44 Duergar Mash Up

I like putting things that look like a good fit together. My son's campaign started with the begining on Interludes but that thread waned. He and his buddy are long time hardcore addicts to one of those Magic card game variants and so take to adventuring well. They are still learning the dynamics of...

Re: Eye of The Night - What are its Powers?

Okay, there is an opportunity for us to play, but only some of us. So, Khalil and Dorminder's pursuit for the Oculum Infernae is where we will go. So, I am thinking to bring this story thread to a conclusion; Khalil has recovered several parts of the telescope along with the EotN and the HotS, kill...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

Dorminder and Khalil sat for a while to discuss the options. Strombolinni's body was picked through, loot divided. Nothing special that would help with the here and now. Tharaxis had to be dealt with and clearly the Heart of the Sunrise was here, there, with it. The very short of it: hard to beat h...

Re: DCC #30

Does anyone have a write of of their campaign that goes through this module?

It looks awesome, having glanced through a bunch of times, but it is nice to see how others have done before I do.

Re: DCC#10 The Sunless Garden Mapping Has Begun

Right then. I opted to make the Fane of the Egg a challenge that Malodocimus (Doc) the titan had created ages ago to find the ultimate champions. It was easy for my players to grasp once I told them to think of Arthur and excaliber. A challenge they could try only on invite from Doc, who was known t...

Re: DCC#10 The Sunless Garden Mapping Has Begun

The idea was to have the party collect the pieces of purple rock and bring them into the temple. The temple was to be for Ogremoch, the earth Archomental. Collectively it would have been as though there was some type of alter for Ogremoch that some force gave a big kick to, which is why pieces were ...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

We went back to the first secret door that led to a passage, an elbow with a very cool cold door, almost numbing to the touch. The passage had an open trap taking out most of the hallway. Khalil opted to scale across failed his Dex check right in the middle, fell and then poofed into nothingness. O...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

(information on Soronna was slight, which gave me leeway) We gathered our gear, collected Calori (which cost us another third level spell - remove curse, checked the large cavern and picked thru Bezantaine's kit. Another secret door was found, Calori was delighted by the new set of armour and, stran...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

Okay, we play tomorrow and I have actually read ahead. Gotta say , Soranna 's ice golem sound like melarkey, or, completely out of context to a tempple dedicated to a fire guy. I will run it but object on the point of arbitrariness. I do not think it wise to be just putting stuff that makes no sense...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

I'm thinking how odd it would be to leave a portal to the plane of fire open and unguarded. The campaign is based in an environment that is rife with elementals (the Egg of the Phoenix is the basis for this - I have just expanded on the whole archomental theme). Blackhelm is in the NorthEast of Nort...

Re: The DCC #19 Thread

(for reasons that defy my limited understanding I was completely kicked off of the system; hence, this counts as my first post! I would appreciate any indication on how to create a new, more appropriate for my memory, password) Bezentaine turned into a good sized fire elemental and was promptly dest...
