Re: GenCon - Dungeon Crawl Wednesday!

We could still use extra DMs for overflow tables (if this thread is any measuring stick, we should have a couple extra tables beyond the 5 tables scheduled). I'll be bringing with me a few DCCs: DCC # 30.5 Trek from the Vault (continuation of the Vault of the Dragon Kings tournament module) DCC # 0 ...

Re: GenCon - Judges game

Alright. The judges game is moving forward. We'll have it on Friday night, starting after 8:00PM (allow some time for any judges running the last tourney slot). It will be in the Open Gaming area (which I believe is at the Hyatt again this year). It will either be on floor 2 or 3, but we'll try for ...

Re: GenCon - Dungeon Crawl Wednesday - GMs thread

I just responded to a PM from Wyrm, and thought it would be useful to post this info here as well. Wyrm asked what 3.5 DCCs fit into a 4-5 time frame. I would say that these qualify: DCC #12.5 The Iron Crypt of the Heretics DCC #51.5 Sinister Secret of Whiterock DCC #0 Legends are made, not born I s...

Re: DCC Tournament Year Five

In all fairness, as the Player's Pack points out, we had to change the tourney significantly from what the Gen Con event listing said. And you've got to be wrong sometimes...otherwise I'd get REAAAL "interested" in your "divination technique." Ha. That's an easy ...

Re: GenCon - Dungeon Crawl Wednesday - GMs thread

Wyrm, You can run 3.5, if you wish (or even 1E). If you want to run a 4E event though, I can pass along my adventure. I'm also checking to see if there are any conversions already in the works that I can get my hands on. I'll let you know. I'd enjoy running your adventure. Awesome. Send me a PM wit...

GenCon - Dungeon Crawl Wednesday!

Send more paramedics...erm...I mean DMs... Any of the DMs that offered to run a table - stop in at the DMs thread in the Goodman Games General section. Those that would be willing to run a table, drop in there as well. So far, we have 5 ticketed tables, and only 3 DMs. That also isn't counting gathe...

Re: DCC Tournament Year Five

Any guesses from the Oracle Fathead for this year? I'm gonna stick with my original prophesy - a high level (as in the 20th level range) 4E adventure. The event description sounds like that could be possible. I have to say though, if that is the case, it will be a helluva challenge. :fathead throws...

Re: What did you think of Adrian's podcast?

I gave it a listen and thought it was informative. I like the fact that Adrian rattles on a bit. I get tired of cookie cutter interviews. Yep. 100% Adrian. The man's enthusiasm is contagious. I wish I could be in the tournament one of these years. Yeah...we lucked out the first year and snagged tic...

Re: What did you think of Adrian's podcast?

Umm...why are they interviewing the GenCon Hall Monitor?! I'm confused.... Actually, it was a great interview - insightful, interesting, and 100% Adrian. I agree with the earlier comment - Adrian's audio was a little rough. Still, it was well done. I also loved how Adrian talked about the necklace o...

Re: GenCon - Judges game

How many players can you take for this? I think Stephanie Huffaker might be interested as well. As many as we get. I'll make extra copies of the characters, in case anyone else shows up. I think Hybban might not be at GenCon (I got that impression in another thread). If that is the case, our curren...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E

All the classes seem basically the same to me...sure, they get cool powers and stuff, but many of the powers are all just variations on the same themes. Ummm...yeah...that's one of the things that I disliked about 4E - most of the powers revolved around combat. I would have loved to have seen more ...

Sorry. We'll amend that, then. "The PCs All Suffer Hideously, And Then Die!" Ha. ;) After playing last year's adventure, I'd have to say that slugging through the 1st round of the tournament with a 0th level character qualifies as suffering hideously... Seriously though - looking forward ...
