Re: Box set Chained Coffin release

Will any of the kickstarter stuff be available at the Con on the Cob, Hudson, Ohio this Oct? If so, what do we need to show proving we were a KS supporter? I do not know, as I'm not attending Con on the Cob. A letter of inquiry to Joseph or asking on the Kickstarter comments section may produce ans...

They both were available at Gen Con. Ask Wil Wheaton.

Re: Box set Chained Coffin release

As per Joseph's reply to a question in the comments section from Sept. 6th: All the stretch goals are written, edited and laid out. Right now work is in the hands of the artists, then the books (and box) will go to the printer. Printing will take a little longer than normal because we are printing t...

Reviews of Glitterdoom and The Fey Sisters' Fate on Geekdad

There was a very brisk run on the two premier Fifth Edition Fantasy adventures that debuted at Gen Con 2014 (and copies of each may or may not have made their way into the hands of some esteemed members of the D&D Next Dev Team). There's a nice review of both adventures up over on Geek Dad if yo...

Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games

I haven't written an "orc stands in a 10' square room guarding a chest" adventure in years, so don't expect anything so ordinary in "Glitterdoom." I do aim closer to what one might expect in a D&D adventure as opposed to a DCC scenario, but my own weird fingerprints are all o...

Re: So, will the Chained Coffin be a little less high fantas

I'm not sure how to answer that. Personally, I don't think me stuff skews towards "high fantasy" ordinarily. "Intrigue at the Courts of Chaos" and maybe "The Sea Queen Escapes!" is about as "high fantasy" as I'm prone to go, but they're hardly in the same aren...

Re: Goodman Games Appendix N entries

Harley had a short story appear in "Realms of the Dragons II," a Forgotten Realms anthology of fiction published back in 2005. I've also had fiction published, but not in the fantasy vein.

You never know what we get up to when Joseph's not keeping us busy. :D

Re: Looking for a non-dungen crawl adventure

There's been a natural progression away from strictly dungeon crawls with the Goodman DCC RPG adventures. It almost mimics what happened with TSR's D&D adventures in the early days of the hobby. Dungeons are easy starting points to drop into campaigns, but as time goes on (and campaigns persist-...

Re: DCC Annual...?

I am confused about what the Annual is actually going to be. Will it have new spells? New Monsters? What is its purpose? Definitely looking forward to new DCC content. Howard Carter said it best: “...as my eyes grew accustomed to the light, details of the room within emerged slowly from the mist, s...

Re: DM provided goodies for your newly made savages

I should clarify that my choice of pregen gear is based on the assumption of a one-shot convention or playtest game. For campaign purposes, everybody starts with tribal weapons and gear. Like Fin says, they should discover the neat stuff through adventuring.

Re: DM provided goodies for your newly made savages

I gave each of the pregens I use in TAU mostly tribal level stuff, but each PC gets two cool/useful items above and beyond. These included healing berries, infrared googles, poison, flashlights, a laser pistol, a protein disruptor, and a color band. Not all were inherently useful in the adventure, b...

Google+ METAMORPHOSIS ALPHA Community

We've had great success with the Google+ DCC RPG community, so it stands to reason that there should be a similar venue for METAMORPHOSIS ALPHA news and discussion there, too. That community can be found here. https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/116604194143817399386 It's just getting started, b...

Re: Frozen in Time as a Funnel

I've obviously run it several times as a zero-level funnel. For the most part, the monsters aren't obscenely difficult to handle and even the really tough ones can be overcome with some planning (one will even stand there while you kill it). On average, the largest body counts occur on the climb up ...

The side-effects only happen if sampled second or later in the process. Drinking any incorrect liquid...

Frozen in Time includes a special "end the scenario" feature that allows it to come to a spectacular conclusion at several points. I specifically included it so that it can be run in a 4-hour convention slot and leave the players satisfied. No editing is needed, just review the advice abo...

In the past, PDFs have usually gone on sale a week or less after the print version is available. "Intrigue" may be available as soon as tomorrow, but this is an unofficial answer based on past experiences and should not be taken as a guarantee. "Glipkerio's" is a World Tour adven...
