Within the Seed of the Worldbreaker -- God-Seed Preview #3
Here's our preview for this week. Hoping to have this thing out to RPGNow by the end of the month and in print soon thereafter. For this one, we look at the seed's progenitor, Akavala, and one of the monsters found within the god-seed that converts prisoners to the god-seed's cause. http://mysticbul...

I have made G+ my default gaming resource for DCC, S&W and pretty much any other RPG you want to play. Playing via hangouts is almost flawless (occasional problems, but it's the Internet... whatayagonnado?)

Currently reading Swords in the Mist (Leiber) and it's so DCC, I wonder if Joseph and Leiber collaborated directly on both the Core Book and the novel via time machine.

Re: How balanced are the Crawl! classes?
Balance in the context of DCC, I've found, becomes very campaign specific (as in your game, your group) very quickly. So, the answer to your question is probably -- maybe? Or, they can be -- depends on how you use them and how much focus you put on the concept of balance. My advice, since you're jus...

Re: Weird Fantasy Dwarves, Elves, and Haflings
What I've toyed with is: - Halflings are mutant humans with twisted physiques and possibly strange powers. - Dwarves are descendant of an evil race, and though not necessarily evil, are not well loved for recent (~100 years ago) wars with their ancestors. - Elves -- just read Daniel Bishop's two adv...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing: Appendix N Adventures
Well yeah -- except I still don't have them. As far as I know we will have switched to a different DM and/or system by the time I do. It's definitely true that I could try and scale them or even convert them to a different system. But that's not the bill of goods I was sold. As you say, not the end...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing: Appendix N Adventures
I'm not too worked up over it or anything, but I planned to use a couple of these modules to run my first DCC campaign. The PCs are now level 3-4. Oh well. Not much I can do. $20 gone and I didn't get any use out of it. Yep -- I'm doing that now. Just integrated the cobtraps adventure into a pre-hi...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing: Appendix N Adventures
Fritz, I hope they deliver. I also hope they have come to realize that a year and a half late doesn't even begin to approach acceptable. Seeing the PDFs up for sale on RPG Now, and still no hard copies after all this time is pretty frustrating, bordering on infuriating. It is great that they are st...

Re: Malazan Book of the Fallen with DCC
I'm currently reading and enjoying the Malazan series. I'm now putting thoughts together on running a Malazan game. I'm not familar with these books. Who wrote them and what are they about? Steven Erickson -- he writes doorstopper fantasy books in a series called Malazan: Book of the Fallen. You sh...

Yep. The folder linked below should have the original .png's of the dungeon and overland map. I've also included the SVG file -- should be browser viewable-- or if you have Inkscape, etc.

Praeder Island, a historical look
This is the island featured in Forsaken Reavers of Praeder Peak in the first issue of DAMN magazine. This is the island about 1,000 years before that adventure. I'm using it as the landing spot for a group of PCs that survived Frozen in Time (by +Michael Curtis). I've placed Tower out of Time here, ...

Re: The Case AGAINST Elf Spellburn
If you think about the rest of Appendix N (and Daniel Bishop's take on elves in his two adventures) you could make a case that elves should SOULburn, rather than spellburn... Perhaps Personality, Luck and... maybe voluntarily take on corruption to boost spell results?
But, I agree, it seems weird.

Funny -- I ran it this weekend with a 0-level funnel leading up to it. The characters have just made it to the actual Frozen in Time part of the adventure, but everyone loved the caveman take.

So saying you posted out everybody's stuff a month ago but not posting it is acceptable? Isn't that just flat out lying? For the record, I did not pay this guy $50 for a pdf & an apology a year later. I don't know what he's said or hasn't said -- and I don't mean that to challenge what he's tol...
