Re: Minis for DCC RPG
There is a chance they will put in the Frost Giants sculpted by Sandra Garrity and Jason Wiebe however they already included the two newer versions in last years, as you may recall. So the good news there is you can order those now and get yourself the bones version ( Vanhorn & Schubert sculpts)...

Re: Minis for DCC RPG
I'm happy to say I too was a part of last years hugely successful bones kickstarter. This year the Reaper Bones II kickstarter looks like it will easily exceed last years success, and I can't wait to see what the next 12 days holds for us. There's a lot of wild rumors of what might be in store for t...

Re: Tomb of Horrors redux for DCC RPG
It's a great idea, I've been waiting to conduct a run through for this scenario for quite a while. A group of level 5-7's DCC adventurers might be wasted immediately upon entering the wrong way, which would be a real shame considering the time it takes to accumulate all those xp's but no l...

Re: My Skill System - seeking feedback
I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Skills compatible with the DCC system. I thought the use of the core book fonts and artwork was very tasteful and tempted me further to try out your house rules in upcoming gatherings. Do publish your thoughts from play-testing and any editing you perform on the sk...

Re: Alternate Barbarian
I think this is a pretty good example of what a Barbarian in DCC might look like, good work to whomever did the write up. So, counting the Orc that makes three varieties thus far. It's very interesting to see new ideas like these. http://skylandgames.wordpress.com/2013/07/29/simply-barbaric-the-dcc-...

Is this free level 1 adventure available as a download? I don't have a participating store near me but I'd still like to be able to conduct the imperishable sorceress for my group. Thanks

Re: Alternate Barbarian
The Orc writeup in one of the issues of Crawl! was to me the barbarian class. Hmm, that's right I had forgotten about that, perhaps because it didn't really hit the mark for me. I think the Orc (or half-orc) are compatible with the class perhaps more than any other class befits them, but as a race ...

Re: Alternate Barbarian
Well, for me this is the first barbarian I have seen for DCC. I think you have some good creative elements designed into the iconic class, which is pretty neat, so good work! I like that the barbarian can't wear armor, and that he may have some sort of natural sixth sense ability. I would love to se...

Re: Ability Scores at 2, 1 and 0
Good question. Here's where I'm at with ultra low ability scores, I hope it inspires some wonderful ideas for judges to adjudicate how dwindling ability scores begin to rot the destiny of their characters. | STR | 0 | You’re prone, bed ridden, helpless and dependent. | STR | 1 (-5 Mod) | Able to car...

Re: DCC RPG Slipcase edition
Yes, there will be interest, it's very lovely and I'd love to own this, but the question I'm asking myself is at what cost is that interest prohibited for the consumer? I don't know how many consumers are so new to the DCC line that this will be their first purchase of the core book, but that consid...

Re: 3pp Classes: Bard Q&A
You make an excellent point with the Cleric and holy symbol perspective. I like the idea of falling back on the dice chain for attempting spell casting performances without the use of a 'chosen instrument'. I could see it kind of like a mercurial magic effect: Bard Spell Selection Level 1-3 (1d6) 1)...

Re: 3pp Classes: Bard Q&A
I suppose that unless the instrument is magic, that the bard doesn't actually need an implement any more than a wizard needs his staff or other focus to cast the spells from Chapter 5: Magic in the DCC RPG book. I might also incorporate the same methods for finding new spells (as part of gaining new...

3pp Classes: Bard Q&A
I'm wondering what do other Judges require their bards to do to both perform and learn new spells in the course of role-playing their characters in game? (I'm under the impression that new spells come to a bard through inspiration manifesting as a song which is then played as an instrument. Perhaps ...

Re: Low luck characters
Good question. I like the idea of a luck check by the hour, with the possibility of a minor or major mishap having the chance of visiting the unlucky. Personally, I see to it that the character with the lowest luck is the first to be bitten, skewered, sliced, or otherwise targeted for harm among PCs...

Re: Hello, I'm Gin and I'd like to share my bard idea
I like this Bard idea, it might actually work better than the one(s) (from the Crawl! design a class challenge) the bard pc in my group is using to wreak havoc at the casual drop of a d20. I don't know if anyone else is having trouble with a bard just charming a pivotal npc on a whim at lvl 1 or 2, ...

Re: More spells? Would you support a SpellBook for Kickstart
I'd be more interested in a book that develops stories around the spells. So, some might be just "random dweomers you find", but others might be the goal of a quest - with the quest included in the book. Or perhaps obtainable only in a deal with a demon - and guidance to the DM of how to ...
