Re: Skater's Lounge
Man ... nothing says "weekend" like new grip tape. :) //H Ha, that's the truth. New grip tape makes for a great session. I frequently re-grip my decks. Did you skate much this past weekend? I was supposed to go to my friend's new mini-ramp jam, but I got involved with a boating trip that ...

Re:
Has anyone seen the Kenzer Co. Hackmaster GM screen? I always thought that was well done (minus the joke material like a pizza chart with toppings). I'd love to see Goodman Games produce the "Ultimate DMs screen". Back when I ran HackMaster , the Pizza Matrix was used almost every game se...

Re: Aereth and 4E
Well I hope it wont be considered a disrespect if my group uses the 4E core pantheon when I run the DCC's. My group, as a whole, really likes it. In Keep on the Shadowfell , I'm playing a human wizard, now level 2, that is unaligned and worships Ioun. He wears an Ioun symbol pendent around his neck...

Forges of the Mountain King
Man, I can't get enough of the cover for Forges of the Mountain King. It has such a HackMaster vibe to it. PCs getting their butts handed to them by the monsters is so HackMaster. Awesome. I love the style of play that cover suggests. I hope we see more PC killin' grace the cover of future DCCs! :tw...

Re: Aereth and 4E
Jason, By my understanding of the SRD, warforged are not up for grabs. So anything I write about them is fan-material. Gods are also off limits. //H Okay. No big deal. I'm sure you guys will give us gods and goddesses that we'll be very happy about and warforged are easy to work in. The nice thing ...

Re: Skater's Lounge
We've been having some awesome weather here in Chicago, I'm so bummed on having a hurt elbow. I went down to the park on Sat. to just see the guys and hang out a bit. Next Sat I hope to be ok enough to at least carve around the pools a little. Just don't tell my wife or physical therapist! ;) Man, ...

Re: Aereth and 4E
Well, the GSL is live.
So, it may be too soon to ask, but will DCC and Áereth be the same?
[I have not - nor plan to - read the GSL. I'd rather boil worms and eat them with 3-day old bread].

Re: Skater's Lounge
Isn't Wallows in Hawaii? That place looks so gnarly; the surface looks like sandpaper. I've only had a few opportunities to skate ditches. They are fun though and you'd better like skating fast. I once skated on abandoned water park's concrete slide in Hendersonville SC. It was very scary! Had like ...

Great story. My first deck was a John Lucero from Schmitt Stix. The graphic was this creature behind bars. Man I loved that deck. It had Independent trucks. That play story is so cool. We cooked our glass too long, and it ended up pretty brittle. I took 2 tries at the sheet wearing safety goggles, chickening out each time. In the end it was, "Alright, enough of the the goggles. But if I go to the hospital you have to film it." :) Haha, that's...

Good call on the candy glass. We found a recipe and realized that we needed to find a way to jump through it. The whole skating thing was a natural progression. What a great video! Love me some Run DMC. Was that candy-glass you ollied through? I don't have any video clips of me skating to share. I should work on that. Always wear your helmet! Okay, we've completely derailed this thread, but I too have been skating a long time. I'm 37 and started skating in 1984, something like 24 years of skating. My early years were fueled by the Bones Brigade and I skated street mostly. As I got older I moved to transition skating - pools, vert ramps, ...
