Re: DCC saves

I disagree with the blog because the author assumes that fortitude, reflex, and will saves cannot be abstracted as easily as the older (much more specific IMO) saving throw values. Additionally, saves were complimented in the older editions with the myriad of attribute based scores (reaction adjustm...

Re: Anyone running LOTFP modules with DCC??

Co-signed, the artwork is gorgeous. Well done Geoffrey. I'm starting with sailors on the starless sea and taking them into the Isle of the Unknown from there. I plan on using Carcosa as another dimension or dream world where occasionally the characters will have to adventure. That's exactly what I ...

Re: DCC Boxed Set

What if you called it "Basic DCC - the house ruler's toolkit"? It could be the first few chapters from the core book softbound and half-sized (like the size of the crawl fanzine - 4.25x5.5?) Then, you include a pamphlet on creating your own spells, patrons and monsters; toss in the zocchi ...

I have pretty much bought up all the LotFP products and plan to use Pembrooktonshire as one of the adventure paths in my Isle of the Unknown DCC campaign :P

Re: Through the Cotillion of Hours write up by Stephan Poag

Thank for your review. I had been sitting on the fence, trying to decide whether I should give this series of modules a chance, or not. Well I am sure glad that I did! This is a really great module and I cannot wait to use it in my budding campaign. I will have to go buy AL1-2 as well.

Re: Wouldn't the Wizard DCC cover make a cool TShirt?

I think if you are gonna go hats, it has to be Trucker style foam front lids with snapback. They really are the only hat to fit all shapes and sizes (they even fit on my hairy beachball of a Noggin!)

Re: Music of DCC

Lastfm.com When it comes to more obscure music, their radio player is much better than pandora. I've used both and I always go back to Pandora over lastfm. Call it personal preference. I listen to vinyl mostly these days or rip my own music at much higher quality. Yahoo launchcast did the same thin...

Nice call on Equinox! Has anyone seen the Corman films Deathstalker and Barbarian Queen? Not to mention Warrior and the Sorceress with the late David Carradine. You are my hero for today! Tales From the Fallen Empire has a huge Corman influence. Double Hero, Warrior and the Sorceress is my favorite...

Whelp I submitted DCC #0: Legends are Made, not Born...to be run with DCC RPG on Friday at the convention. Re: What miniatures are good for 0-level play?

While I have about 25 years worth of collecting miniatures to pull from, I am planning on using the Game Dorn and the threatened city of "Argos" for the basis of our upcoming Isle of the Unknown DCC campaign. Take a look. It's a cool board game, but immediately I thought it would make a gr...

I'm wondering if the iron on patch is suitable for my jean jacket? If not, tally one vote for standard badge or even "backpatch" style patches for the future. (I will be going the iron on route until we get adult sizes ;))

Re: That's a cool T-shirt

What could this be for? What were you listening to at the time? It could have been a few things. The answer most analogous to DCC RPG would be the new album from "The Sword" Some early Genesis , Fairport Convention and even Lynyrd Skynyrd are all on the playlist I've been listening to lat...
