Re: Interest in a "World Tour" in Toronto?
I'd love to run a playtest of some upcoming adventures of yours as well, Daniel, if possible. We have some prominent Game shops and conventions on every 3-day weekend around the San Francisco area, I'd be glad to run one of your works for a world tour submission. *Hah, my gf told me today that she h...

Re: Tower of the Stargazer - Session Write Up by Stephan Poa
Thank you for the kind words about Cotillion. Very well done sir. My group made it about 2/3s the way through before running out of time this first go 'round. I am now coming up with some minor variations of the next time they are invited to the realm of Somnos. (hah in particular I am going to use...

Re: Tower of the Stargazer - Session Write Up by Stephan Poa
Hah, I just ran Through the Cotillion of Hours tonight and it was a blast! I totally agree with you. Piecing together the two lines of products produces a really great campaign environment rich in weird fantasy and Appendix N. *Flying Air guitar jump kick* in appreciation to Goodman & Raggi for ...

Heck yeah, pre-register for a much higher chance of inserting some awesome into your convention. If I wasn't running at a time close to Gnomeboy I would be putting my gm priority slip to good use and take a "short trip to hell"

The second and subsequent printings have an index. I feel like each adventure module serves as a mini supplement with new beasties, spells, and patrons.

Re: Survivors of the Starless Sea
My players wore the few sets of robes they had grabbed and ushered the rest of the party at spearpoint as if they were to be added to the fires. That got them to the top where things got hairy. An awesome crit felled they effigy before too many of the batsmen could react and the roof started coming ...

Re: Favorite 0-Level Funnel?
I'm lucky to have a few different groups who'd like to play DCC. I'd rather not have to start them all on Portal Under the Stars, so my question is: do you have a favorite 0-level funnel? Ideas so far: Death Test (?) - I listened to a DCC podcast of a 0-level playthrough, thought the DM said it was...

Re: Allowing level-up during funnel adventure?
But to answer you directly, each encounter is worth 0-4 XP. (Re)gaining Luck is generally reserved for encounters that relate directly to luck or the end of the Adventure/in between sessions. So far for my sessions it has been at the end of the module. Check the Judge's Section of the rulebook for b...

Re: Allowing level-up during funnel adventure?
Level up is strictly a "between adventures activity" at my table, but your case seems to be a bit far less mundane. If your players can handle the break during the session, then go for it! Well, obviously, use what works for you, and fear no rule! I decided to let characters level mid-shi...

Re: DCC World Tour... in Europe?
Shipping to Europe is very expensive. Even for small items. And sometimes quite slow and unpredictable, even for small shipments. The only way I can imagine a Europe World Tour support program working is if the Road Crew folks paid for shipping (which I don't want...not really fair to charge them) ...

Sailors on the Starless Sea - Session Success
I ran Sailors on the Starless Sea this past Friday and it was a real hoot! I had 4 players at the table and 2 online, each with 3 level 0 schlepps. Some players are old hands at rpgs but most are novice or brand new to the idea. We rolled up characters in pretty short order and were off storming the...

I love Carcosa and plan to utilize it for a short stint in another dimension in my existing campaign. But, part of me wants to try running it with the rules provided. I do think it fits the feel of DCC, for sure, but as you can see I haven't quite figured out yet how I want to present it to my playe...

Re: Where is the DCC Crowd heading to in 2013... (Con-wise)
I'll be running a couple games at OrcCon in February and Gamex in May [http://strategicon.net/]. Orccon 2013 Presidents Day Weekend Feb 15 - Feb 18 Gamex 2013 Memorial Day Weekend May 24 - May 27 Both are Los Angeles shows. Hah I thought we had veered enough from the original topic to warrant a shot against thAC0  it was fine for its Time but probably the cludgiest mechanism for new players. Yeah, it's not thac0 that I like, as much as I dislike the open ended and incremental progression of d20. I like that i...
