All good things must ecentually come to an end
Sadly, today I had to put my Isle of the Unknown DCC campaign on the shelf. We had a blast and had the pleasure of play testing some of the latest Third party resources. There is some seriously awesome stuff released in 2013 already and more to come! But, this thread is about that lump in the back o...

Re: Isle of the Unknown Campaign Mapping
Sorry for not keeping you folks up to date here, I was helping some of our Third Party folks with play testing with our group and didn't want to risk any spoilers! I will work to get the past few sessions added to the list but alas, the chapter of this particular campaign is over. I will lament a bi...

Great to hear there is progress and life happens to the best project managers! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product with all the new artwork (drool).

Consider yourself in the game Pesky, even if you show up late I will work you in. You will definitely get the lowliest gong farmer of the pool looking for action for being late as well!

Re: My First Time!
Nicely put and great suggestions. For games like the funnel where a bunch of characters are assigned to a player, I grabbed post its with 1,2,3,4 listed on them so that players can identify characters by rank. So when something comes up randomly to hit a subset of the party, I will call out which ra...

I'm torn, I like hangouts, they really do work well most the time but the overall g+ experience sucks. I am getting used to the non-intuitive quirks as I go, but I am a sad panda every time I see "whats Hot on google plus" on my feed and it's some discussion about depends adult undergarme...

Re: DCC RPG Slipcase edition
I'm not personally familiar with either, so I guess I'm still stuck on an annual compiling the rules and goodies throughout the published modules thus far into one handy folio. If Aereth or Punjar are campaign settings, I would like to see them in a Hex Crawl format similar to the Isle of the Unknow...

Yeah, I imagine their products will convert nicely to DCC much like LotFP material.

Re: Astonishing Swordsman and Sorcerers of Hyperborea
I was a doubter when I first picked up the PDF for this one, but I had a chance to play this past weekend and it was a real hoot. There are enough tweaks from AD&D to keep it fresh and the setting is rich with Appendix N flavor. I give it 4 out of 5 loincloths!

Re: DCC RPG Slipcase edition
Just put the annual in the slipcase along with the rulebook. Then you have the annual with all the spell sheets, patrons, and monsters from the first 12 DCC modules released in one handy booklet along with a fine slipcase to store the corresponding modules. even use some nasty font to list the modul...

Count me in. I am using an empty tunnels & trolls box I got from Rick Loomis this past DunDraCon to cart my modules around. Which in and of itself is just fine, but gold foil gets my nose tingling!

PacifiCon - 2013
Hey guys, I have two games submitted for Friday at Pacificon. Word on the street is Joseph Goodman will be a special convention guest. As soon as my games are approved, I will post and make them World Tour events.
Anyone else planning on attending?

Re: The Iron Tavern: DCC RPG Blogging
A review of The Black Goat from Purple Duck Games written by Daniel Bishop has been posted at The Iron Tavern. Review: The Black Goat I enjoyed the review IronWolf and I had a great time with the Black Goat with my campaign. It really is a testament to the CE series so far as to just how easy it is...

I have also ruled that the Halfling can lend his Birth Augur bonus to the other party members (or hinder them if it's negative)

Re: Solo Adventures?
Moderated Solo games work great and I think that the "choose your own adventure" will work just great as well due to the DCC Luck mechanism in particular, I just haven't had a chance to try it. Luck offers the last ditch effort, a lucky shot to the happy sacks, or the way out less travelle...

Re: The Black Goat
My group had a great time with the Black Goat. Recently, using the Waystation Adventure Location, a party member was able to wield an ancient dwarven warhammer but was given a quest enshrouded in cryptic language. She needed answers and another party member was sent off looking for a particular spec...

I have had way too much fun leveraging the Dwarf ability to smell gold and gems...if you haven't done so already, take a look at Daniels new CE:3 The Folk of Osmon for some creative ideas on tickling that acute sense of smell
