Re: Any point in spell level?
Those are good points, although you could just make different categories of spells, where they do get step-down in the die used to cast them, and still not have them be cut-off by character level because they are too low to learn it, it just means it is all the more difficult for a lower level char...

Re: DCC in Toronto!?
Hi. I'm totally new here and pretty new to DCC. And I'm looking for a Toronto group! I saw something going down at Sword and Board Aug 1. Is that still running? Anything regular happening? I run every second Wednesday at an open table at S&B in Toronto. One of the players there also runs Thursd...

Saying this much is better than saying nothing. (Thanks for your response, by the way.) Moreover, I'm not really against doing something online, but I don't own a mic and I think that's a dealbreaker for a lot of people. In addition, I'm not really a super great typer. You're welcome. Re: Mighty Deeds: Defensive Maneuvers Hack
Deed to allow another to disengage without suffering a free attack is a normal Deed. For a tough opponent, or one with reach, lower successes might modify the die used for the attack. Excellent variant. Haven't had a player try that one yet, but I'll try to remember to throw it out there... It came...

Re: Mighty Deeds: Defensive Maneuvers Hack
Defending yourself always works; Deed Die adds to AC until your next turn, but doesn't modify attacks or damage. Deed to defend another results in Deed Die -2 to AC, but Deed Die adds to attack rolls and damage as normal. Deed to allow another to disengage without suffering a free attack is a normal...

Re: Clerics & their Gods- any books?
What about details on the "starter" gods for clerics per the Core Rules: Ildavir, Daenthar, etc? Seems sensible to have info on these available to players for better PC depth and roleplaying. Daenthar gets a write up, as do the other "starter" gods from the DCC core rule book me...

I find that 3e is easier to convert than 4e, but the Harley Stroh adventures for 4e are well worth the effort. Thanks. I just bought all of the 3e DCC modules during the DTRPG sale (at $1 each, how could I not). Any tips on converting to DCC RPG? https://ravencrowking.blogspot.com/2013/06/conversio...
