I'm not sure what it is you've mentioned in this article, but now I'm excited about this release. :D I've never had much luck finding interested parties to play these types of games, unless they were someone so into the particular game that they totally out-classed me. So my enthusiasm has always be...

I hate you all (in a good way). Now my wife has discovered that her complete Hero Quest collection is incomplete as there were 2 USA only releases. Which can be found on Ebay. For over $300 each. Does anyone out there want to buy a house in CA (she's a Realtor, and it makes sense to get her...

It's true. Gnome is probably holding a torch right now. The fire department has made frequent stops at his home. They usually find him exploring the basement (the floor joists caught fire, last time). Upon discovery, his comment is, "what strange ecology this dungeon has". Being in Califo...

Rename this forum section now

Should the name of this branch of the forum be changed? From where I sit, its the main branch that gets hit with all the heavy spam about ***** and **** and even with posts about *******-****, occasionally. If it weren't called 'Off Topic', maybe the spam-bots would go away... It could be Table 487 ...

I'll be waiting to buy the team's version instead. :D As for 4e DCCs, I can imagine possible '3e conve...

Well, when I think how many games bogged down in rules arguments in 2nd Edition days, compared the same group of guys playing 3.x, I have noticed a dramatic difference. A reduction, that is. Things are better delineated, so we can generally agree (or quickly come to an agreement) how to call things ...

Okay, maybe I'm getting too far afield to ask this in this thread, but I'm really curious... What types of rules encourage roleplay, and which discourage roleplay? I've played my fair share of systems over the years and it just seems to me that, boiled down, it is the GM's storytelling style that de...

Lost - good acting, good story-telling. The plot gets weird (to the extent that I'm having trouble seeing how they plan to tie everything together and have it make sense...if they accomplish that, it will be genius)...but it's still a great show. This one REALLY surprised me, because I wasn't expec...

Yeah, but it wouldn't be a spidey-tracer if you had to use a skill roll. I might build it as Detect: People I've Tagged With A Spider-Tracer. Give it a range of 1-2 miles, Requires A Skill Roll to tag someone with it, IAF, 1 charge lasting about 2 days... instead of focusing the power on the tracer...

Heroes, Season Two thread

Is anybody else not as impressed with Season Two as they were with Season One?
