Re: How is DCC RPG doing for Goodman Games?
My friend who runs my FLGS has told me "DCC RPG is selling quite well!" I'm not sure exactly what that means compared to other games or GG products, but I would take on face value that it's selling quite well

Re: Looking for a short 1st-level adventure
Have you looked at Attack of the Frawgs or the Purple Sorcerer modules, Ooze Pits etc? I haven't checked those out yet, but most modules tend to run 2-3 session IME -- I'm looking for something really short because I'm planning to also run Portal under the Stars (plus, we'll be at GenCon, and there...

Re: Attack of the Frawgs - Now Available in PDF and Print
It took a bit longer than I had anticipated but a print version of Attack of the Frawgs is finally available! Woohoo!
You can pick up a version at FRPGames.com or hopefully it will also turn up at your FLGS.
Thanks for your patience, everyone!

Thanks Finarvyn for putting together this list! I'm busy working on the DCC Re-Master of "Haunting of Larvik Island" (which I hope to have to ready in 4Q of 2012 ) while simultaneously writing "Larvik 2". The re-master has been fun as I'm retconning certain elements and making it...

Re: Modules For the actual DCC RPG
FWIW, when I was designing the monsters for Frawgs , I would take a look at similar monsters in the DCC RPG rulebook, and compare them to other similar monsters in the 1st Ed AD&D rulebook and/or OSRIC monster manual. How close were skeletons? Orcs? Kobolds? Owlbears? Did I want my own monsters ...

If you will permit me to do a little marketing research here for the folks interested in new rulebooks: So the series of modules I'm writing (started with Haunting of Larvik Island which is being re-mastered for DCC as we speak, and obviously Attack of the Frawgs which was just released and continue...

Any update on when this module will be released? Some guys on the Blackmoor boards have been curious.... 8) Excellent! Glad to hear there's some interest. I've been out of the country on business travel for the last week so I'm just getting caught up. Cat (Cat being Catherine Harkins, my good frien...

Re: Savage Kings? Anyone played it yet?
I took my players through it as a playtester. And everyone loved it! Harley did a great job creating a very dark and mysterious atmosphere for the village. When we played it, it had an old "Hammer Horror" style feel to it. Great premise, interesting NPCs and, of course, a fabulous "cu...

Just got the first draft of the final layout (is that a contradiction?) of Attack of the Frawgs from Thick Skull Adventure's layout wizard Ms. Catherine Harkins! As with our first module, she's done a fabulous job creating a cool atmosphere on the pages with her graphics and style. Love that woman. ...

Opposed check for surprise? Just initiative?
How are people handling player's trying to sneak up on others? Your DM says to you: In the distance you hear a rushing water. From within the water you hear occasional grunts and splashes. The PCs, (let's say: 1 thief, 1 fighter and 1 halfling) determine they want to sneak through the brush towards ...

Re: What adventures will be available when core book release
I'm about to pre-order DCC thanks to the #66.5 incentive! Will any other adventures will be released simultaneously? #67 would be especially handy since it's 0-level and would be used before #66.5. I'm also working hard to make sure the 0-level Attack of the Frawgs will be available on RPGNow.com b...

Re: DCC's Implied Setting
I agree with some of the thoughts here. When I first started playing DCC RPG I played it very similar to my AD&D style, but now that I'm a few months in, and I see the emphasis placed on certain elements within the Beta rules and the early modules, I'm turning my game darker and weirder. My game...

I think you're on the right track. I broached the subject in this " Opinions on DCC RPG Alignment " thread I started a while back. As I mentioned there, I'm a big fan of history, and when I think of the great campaigns (England vs. France, Crusaders vs. Saladin, even Colonial American vs. ...

I'm no lawyer either, but according to the wikipedia entry on mithril:
The name mithril or similarly spelled variations (mithral, mythril, and others) is present in other fictional contexts like role-playing games, video games and books since the Tolkien Estate did not trademark the term.

Opinions on DCC RPG Alignment?
Hello folks, Like most folks, I find inspiration in lots of different sources, and one of my primary sources for ideas is reading history of British monarchy (Tudors, Stuarts, etc.) The new series I'm writing has a theme where 3 different political elements are all vying for political power on a lar...

Snake, Thank you for posting this. I pop over to the Thick Skull website now and again, but not often enough to catch all the updates. (Congrats on the great reviews for The Haunting of Larvik Island , btw.) I'm hoping that Frawgs does well and we see a host of Thick Skull adventures in the future....
