Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

No denigration intended. Strictly factual - the module contributors are the same, the modules play just like the classics, and there are folks making judgments based strictly on cover art. If covers are driving 100% of a purchasing decision, then maybe I should be publishing art books instead of ad...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

Your cover art is what grabs your customers. It is the face of the DCC line and the perception is that with 4e you have abandoned the classic in favor of looking like any other game companies product. Well, for those who judge books completely by their covers, I guess that is the perception they wo...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

It's interesting to me to hear how the 4E modules are being perceived. All the interior art is by Doug Kovacs, who has been illustrating the DCC series since #17: Legacy of the Savage Kings. He's famous among some of the hard-core DCC fans for dating his illustrations from the 80's. The cover art i...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

And, please, go back to the classic look or call them Dungeon Crawl Modern. Calling the new artwork 'classic' makes no sense. Have you read one of our 4E modules yet? I have to convert all these back to 1e. What made the pre-modern art DCCs so appealing to start with is that the artwork was immedia...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

Last time I was at Games Plus, they still had a shrink wrapped copy... I'll have to check, but some places list them as in stock, like troll & toad till you try to order them then you find out they are listed as being on back-order. And, please, go back to the classic look or call them Dungeon ...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

Ah. It's sold out in our warehouse. Some retailers and distributors may still have it on our shelves. We continue to promote it to assist them in selling what they have purchased. Believe me I've contacted just about every retailer out there. This puppy is gone, baby gone. I wouldn't even mind payi...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules

Also, can you update your linking page? Your new realease of DCC#30 boxed keeps getting my hopes up only to have them dashed when I realize that this is sold out. "Linking page"... which is that? Can you give me a direct link? Thanks, Joseph The link you provided in this thread takes you ...

Re: DCC#52

We did a shorter run of DCC #52 since it was published after 4E was announced, and it sold out. A number of people who played in the tournament didn't get copies, so we're doing another short run to make sure it's available for all tournament participants (and others who get in their orders before ...

Re: !st DCC order just arrived today

JZ, Let us know how your search for DCC #35 goes. There is a SW copy sitting on the shelf at my FLGS. It isn't discounted, but it is still in shrinkwrap, so there's a tradeoff. I'd buy it for myself, but I already have DCC# 35 in both print and pdf and I don't think I need a second copy. If you don...

Re: Greyhawk locations...

I've never adventured in the Greyhawk setting, but have always wanted to. I got into D&D when I was 13, which was '94, and started playing in Dark Sun and Forgotten Realms... There are very different versions of the Greyhawk setting. Originally it was published without a great deal of detail. T...

Re: !st DCC order just arrived today

Castle Whiterock is the best 3rd edition boxed set, imho. :) The 51.5 prequel is excellent too. Some other gems you may want to try and get your hands on before they are gone... #7 The Secret of Smuggler's Cove #13 Crypt of the Devil Lich (very ToH like) #16 Curse of the Emerald Cobra #26 The Scaly...

!st DCC order just arrived today

Posted this on the Acaeum but thought it was even more appropriate for this forum. <y Goodman order arrived this afternoon. If you haven't picked up at least one DCC51 Castle Whiterock you should do it soon. This thing is a monster. It reminds me of the old SPI detergent box games. You could easily ...

Re: Greyhawk locations...

Performing a little thread necromancy here... So, have any of you creative DM's placed any more of the DCC adventures in good ol' Greyhawk for your gaming groups? If so, what locations have you identified for the DCC's? There are some good suggested locations above, but there have been a lot of DCC...

Re: Buying the PDFs before they're gone

I too liked the old-school look the 3.5 DDC's have, but I can certainly understand GG wanting to update it for 4E. I suspect the adventure content will still be just as cool. I haven't tried 4e. I've heard it is more akin to a table top mini game, which the people saying it seem to be using as a ne...

Re: Buying the PDFs before they're gone

Yeah, if you go to http://www.drivethrurpg.com, it's very clear that it's only a matter of time before the 3.5 DCC's become unavailable in .pdf form, which makes me kinda sad. I think GG does great stuff and I'd like to be able to give them more of my money, but I don't intend to invest in 4E for t...

Re: Buying the PDFs before they're gone

Why would the pdf's disappear? Is this part of the 4e switchover? If your company is making the jump to 4th Edition, you can't continue selling your 3.x stuff after a certain point. :? So that is a mandatory thing. I'd heard something about that but didn't think it was mandatory, just a logical ste...

Re: Buying the PDFs before they're gone

Since it looks like the 3.5 and 1E .pdf versions of DCC's are going to be disappearing, I'm thinking about buying all of them at once (except for maybe the Known Realms, which I already own in .pdf). Is there an easier way making such a purchase without having to sift through Drivethrurpg and click...

DCC #35 (PDF?)

Any plans for making DCC #35 available as a PDF? (or am I missing it somewhere on the main site).

I'd love to see the out of print material available as PDFs, but the setting book seems to be the most key product.

I believe that only the RK comes with the Noble Knight logo. (It doesn't reflect this in the sale photo.) Note that the Free RPG Day material is still available. You get to pick one with any order. So if you missed Punjar, order one of the AD&D adventures and get Punjar for free. //H Is that at...

This thread seems to have been quiet for awhile, but there is an interesting discussion of DCC collatability on the Acaeum at the moment.
