Re: Looking for a sandbox ready keep
Hope you found a module that suited your needs. I will not normally promote a product but in this case I have to make an exception. I have a copy of diceroll zine #2 from hogtown games and it's what I was looking for. So much so that when I design my own cities from now on I will follow their forma...

Re: Looking for a sandbox ready keep
I was going to suggest Into the Wilds, but held off because I wasn't confident it was fully up to spec for what you are looking for ... ... but then saw that they are now selling it for a dollar. For your consideration: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/12002/Dungeon-Crawl-Classics-28-Into-the-W...

Looking for a sandbox ready keep
All, I purchased an original version of keep on the borderlands to run some games for my family. A couple pages in and the nostalgia factor caved a bit. I realize that Gary left it somewhat unfinished to encourage new players to make it their own, however, there is only so much work that I want to i...

Re: Phantasmagoria range question
Good catch. I'd guess it was a find-and-replace mix-up. Though why the nuclear pistol and the nail gun would have the same range increments, I have no idea. I would guess 20/40/60 for the pistol, and 10/20/30 for the nail gun (thought maybe the nuclear pistol uses that progression, too). @Gnomeboy,...

Phantasmagoria range question
All, I just received my copy of Phantasmagoria and noticed that a couple of the weapons have odd ranges. Nuclear pistol for example: 20/10/1930. Why is medium range less than short range? Is this a typo? Also... 1930? That's oddly specific. The more I look at this the more I think it was a mistake. ...

Re: Converting 5e Modules into DCC
From what I've see on 5e modules they are a set of rails that lead you from one combat to the next. I'm new to DCC, however, I'm not new to OSR. There is nothing OSR about going from one balanced encounter to the next. Your results in this regard may be sub-optimal. That said I can offer general adv...

Opposing Monster Skill checks
All, Page 67 talks about opposed skill checks. An example is given where an orc is holding a door shut while a player character attempts to knock it down. In this case both are to perform a skill check based on strength. Though not really clarified in the rules I take this to mean rolling a d20 and ...

Monster crit die table
The table for the monster crit dice is sorted by HD. I assume this means the number of HD used rather than total HP. So does a 4d4 creature have the potential to do as much damage on a 20 as a 4d20? Am I reading this correctly? Additionally, I do not understand what the roman numerals under humanoid...
