Re: For Sale: DCC RPG Items

I might be interested in the Android Underlords, depending on shipping price to zip code 77477. You can email me at greycountycon at gmail.

Earthdawn as a DCC setting?

I was going through boxes in storage and came across some of the rule books for Earthdawn, FASA's 90s take on fantasy RPGs. It struck me that the concept behind Earthdawn would lend itself really well to DCC. For those who haven't played, basically the world was overrun by magical monsters (called H...

Re: They All Burn Down Here : A Fan-Made One-Sheet Crawl!

Sorry for the late reply! I've been away from tabletop for a bit. When we play tested the adventure, we had games that lasted from as little as 2 hours to over 5 hours! I think it really has to do with how paranoid your players are. My first group spent over 2 hours tip-toeing around the first room...

Re: How to run 0-level funnel with one character per player?

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but when my group played Sailors everyone started with two characters and once they were dead the player was given two more. This cut down on the amount of stats to juggle at once, while maintaining the deadly fun of DCC. The in-game explanation for the ap...

Re: Higher level games

Great, thanks! I'm hoping to get a regular group going and start with a funnel, but if schedules prove difficult it's good to know one-off sessions don't have to be limited to the 0 level games I can find.

Higher level games

Still new to DCC (have done one adventure as a player and another as GM) so this might be a silly question, but do groups always start with a 0 level funnel and build up to the higher level games that are available (I'm thinking specifically of the Purple Planet modules or the Chained Coffin box set...

Re: They All Burn Down Here : A Fan-Made One-Sheet Crawl!

I'm hoping to get a DCC group going and have looked at a bunch of different funnels/0 level games, and this one really has me excited! I dig the story (especially that little twist at the end after the characters think it's over) and the artwork is fantastic. I hope you'll do more, I love the idea o...

Re: Best approach for a one-off game?

I gave everyone a 1st level character and a couple of zeros, this way they can experience both the fantastic DCC game mechanics (deeds, magic, healing, disapproval, corruption, etc.) and the spirit/flavour of DCC with the funnel and character death. This is a good way to do it, but I also wrote an ...

Best approach for a one-off game?

Hello, new here and first time posting. I've played DCC as a player and it was a blast. Now I'm going to run it for some friends back home. I think the funnel is a great way to kick things off, but it's based on the idea that you'll get to take your surviving characters and actually develop them wit...
