I think the biggest challenge is de-programming players used to game systems that award a lot of class mechanics at level-up. DCC emphasizes narrative and questing for increasing powers. Real nice IMO.

We play it almost every week. Check out G+. There is a ton of DCC activity on there. Once you play DCC, it is hard to go back to anything else. I love the game. There's just something about it. I've been running Treasure Vaults of Zadabad since the summer and it's been a blast. It's a great sandbox and has inspired me to build a narrative campaign on top off the module.
