MCC Kickstarter - request for additional itesm

Hey everyone, Just a few quick comments about the MCC Kickstarter. I bought in at the 80.00 mark (2 x 40.00 pledge value was my thought). I am in Canada. My friend wanted a copy of both the hardcover and the pdf as well. I didn't see an option to add a second pdf. Will that come automatically with a...

Re: Has anyone worked up an Elric setting yet?

If anyone does any work on any of MM's worlds or stories please let me know. I would love to see an official product with the author's endorsement for DCC!! Elric, the Eternal Champion, et al. would make very good modules imo.

Cheers,
Michael

Re: New Birth Augurs

Hey, I like the idea of having a d100 birth augur chart. With your current chart being 2d24 please note you are now using a bell curve in terms of end results. This means the results will weigh themselves in the middle of the pack. Perhaps you may wish to go to a different (non-additive) roll to obt...

Re: "Burn" for other classes than Wizards?

I understand Luck should be the go to stat. But from bits I am reading it seems Wizards really have the ability to seriously take over compared to the other classes because they can "burn" anything including Luck. It doesn't have to be fair of course but I was just curious more than anything. Cheers...

Re: Table 1-2 Luck Score

Thanks everyone. I guess I find the paragraph confusing. "After rolling 3d6 to determine a player's Luck score, roll on table 1-2 to determine which roll is affected by the character's Luck modifier. This "lucky roll" is modified by the character's starting 0-Level Luck modifier (for good or bad) in...

Re: Luck Regenration

I really like having Luck in a rpg. It reminds me of the simplified Fighting Fantasy games of my youth. Luck giving advantage as it is used in D&D 5th Ed is a great idea. Also rewarding luck for great role playing is how I will lkely dole it out in my campaign. The fine line between getting players ...

Table 1-2 Luck Score

Hi everyone, I have a question on Table 1-2 Luck Score.. The first paragraph on pg 19 (3rd printing) states characters should roll on the chart and add or subtract their 0 level luck modifier. In a way this limits the table results. A character that has a +1 (or more) luck modifier could never get r...

private messages hanging in outbox

Hi everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this query. I am a new user and I recently tried to send a private message to a forum member. The message seems to be hanging under the Outbox folder. In the FAQ it says to contact an administrator. So, I again tried to send a private message to an admin. It ...

Link to return to the main menu forum thread

Hi everyone, Perhaps I am missing something based on the browser I am using (firefox), but I would love to have a link at the top of the page which will take me back to the main forum page. The only link I can see is View unread posts / viewnew posts / view your posts / view unanswered posts / view ...

Re: Alternate Spellburn Actions

As I grew up on the D&D magic system one of the concepts I am finding most difficult is the fact that a Wizard can burn ability scores with full knowledge in time they will recover. I get that Spellburn is an integral concept to Magic being wild and dangerous. Years ago I implemented a die roll to s...

"Burn" for other classes than Wizards?

Hi everyone, I am not sure if this idea has been posted before. I am still new to the forums. I was thinking about the concept of Spellburn in DCC and this led me to a thought... What if the other classes could also burn to improve their chance of success? I understand each Class has its own flavour...

Re: Weapons do D6/2D6

I have never really held a "real" sword in a fighting type combat... But I have played a lot of tennis in my life. It is funny - even a slight change in the racquet affects my game. Also, when I hit backhand I alternate from one hand to two. I usually have more power that way. I seem better able to ...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!

Hey everyone, Just wanted to say hello from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I have been actively playing since Grade 7 (circa 86). My first RPG purchase was the Oriental Handbook for AD&D. Since then I have dabbled in all types of RPG's, board games, miniatures and CCG's. I also have designed a board ...

Re: Bonus to replace Spellburn option?

I recently picked up the manual and a few pre-published adventures. I cannot wait to get this to the table. I was just wondering if perhaps spellburn should have a limit instead of being open ended? At 1st level a spellcaster can burn maximum one point / ability. Again, not sure if this would be too...
