Come check this version out. Played Sailors? Come satisfy your curiosity to see what's different this time 'roun...

Spellburn to regain a spell - time
Do you allow a wizard to spellburn to regain a spell and cast the spell in the same round?

Re: 77.5 Tower Out of Time
I'm looking for a print copy of 77.5 Tower out of Time. If you have one you want to sell, please let me know. :) I am wondering why there seems to be a lack of 2nd level modules. There's Fate's Fell Hand and Emerald Enchanter only, true? The others are special - 77.5 Tower Out of Time and 80.5 Glip...

Re: Race separate from Class
We've been mulling this over in our game. I certainly like the racial classes, but the fact that they are mandatory if you roll a demi-human on the occupation chart doesn't work for my group. Our house rule is that the racial classes are special options only open to players who roll that demi-human ...

Re: New Players and/or Dead PCs
Had ourselves an old-fashioned "instant funnel."
The new player wanted to do it this way - so we did!
Rolled up three level 0's and rolled a 1d3 to see which one would become level 1 and join the crew.

Re: New Players and/or Dead PCs
Can you point me to this section/material? I have been looking for it and failing my Search rolls...Raven_Crowking wrote:There are guidelines for creating higher-level PCs in the book. Personally, I don't usually grant the extra 1d4 hp for going through the funnel to PCs who did not.

Re: New Players and/or Dead PCs
What are your preferred methods?
When and how do you have new players play through a funnel to get their character (if you believe they should have to)?
How do you introduce new characters mechanics-wise?

New Players and/or Dead PCs
I am about to run my first 1st level game and I have two (somewhat) related questions:
1.) What do you do when you bring in a new player at non-0-level play? How do you start out the new player?
2.) What do you do when a character dies and needs to be replaced at non-0-level play?

Advice: No grid/battle map/miniatures w/roll20.net
So our first game of DCCRPG is Sunday. We are coming from a heavy 3.5/Pathfinder background, but even when we played 1E and 2E in our earliest days we used a piece of Plexiglas with Sharpie squares on it. We've become addicted to the grid. We play on roll20.net because we live in separate states. Be...

Two Newbie Questions
1.) If you roll a ranged weapon with your occupation, do you get ammunition with it? 2.) What's with the luck augur and racial bonuses to find secret doors? It would seem from the Skills description that looking for a secret door is not a situation in one needs to roll, but rather describe how they ...

Quick Question about Sailors and "Tomb of the Fallen"
Is the tomb sealed a BOTH ends with two different stone, rune covered portals? The map makes it look like its only on the end that leads to B but not to 1-1.

Re: Just the basics
A tricky question. I get from your post that you and your group play RPGs, but not which ones. I'll assume "general knowledge" and we can work from there. ... 3. Pages 16 through 23 give the guts of character creation. I will assume that you will start with the "character funnel"...

Just the basics
Hey All - I have managed to secure the interest of my players in DCCRPG and a gaming session is soon to follow. However, none of us have ever played before. We usually game once a month. So here is my question: What is the absolute bare minimum my players and I need to know before we enter the zero-...
