Re: Treasure Box Help!
I went to 4 stores on Sat and only 1 was doing anything for FreeRPG Day. You are correct, it is disappointing and some of the reasons given.... well that's another topic/forum. I did talk to one store that was doing the free REG day and carries Goodman content. They said they have a couple of the bo...

Re: Where to buy figures for DCC?
Reaper Minis has some interesting options but if you play DCC to the gonzo max you are going to probably have a hard time. Reaper has some Cthulu based minis coming out with their Bones 3 release. They also have some cool older sculpts of typical dungeon denizens that serve as good stand ins (slimes...

need some DCC kickstarter help
I'm trying to go in on the Monster Alphabet for the $35 + GM Gems for $25. When you click on the $35 option I do not see where you add the $25. Is that after the kickstarter is over? You know if I didn't have to pledge $1 just to post a comment I might have asked this question there. TThank you for ...

Re: Best monster, treasure books to supplement DCC with?
I assume anything third or fourth edition D&D is out due to feats and powers That is not an assumption I would make. While DCC doesn't use feats, monsters certainly have powers, and it's no effort at all to count any feats as being more powers of the monster... So, a Manticore in 3e... Size/Typ...

I'm really interested in this product but understand there have been challenges with the process. Not looking to pick scabs but have the issues been worked out to the point where not KS hard copies can be purchased? Nevermind....found it. Guess the better question would have been what are the diffe...

magic item identification? What's Your take?
Looking for a bit of feedback if you want. I love the rare and unique magic items encouraged by DCC but either I forget it or there doesn't seem to be a low level spell to identify the properties of magic items. Even if there is, do you use it or do you have another method for characters to discover...

Re: Portal under the stars continuation
Good to hear your first game went well. I'm not at all a guru but I don't remember ever hearing of a direct sequel to portal under the stars. It makes a great launch point for your own home brew though. I'd suggest you go crazy and see what you can come up with. The only time I played that adventure...

Re: The Chained Coffin kickstarter
I got in. This thing just looks cool. Plus I live at the southern tip of the Appalachian mountains. So reading that as an influence was enough to make me want to try Kickstarter (and DCC standard quality). The area I live in was known as "Wolf Scratch Wilderness". How cool of a local real ...

Re: The Chained Coffin kickstarter
I'm a complete newb to Kickstarter. I pledge $30 for the silver edition and get a box set with all the stuff in it? As long as enough people pledge the third adventure and map come with it without more money for my pledge? Kickstarter just sounds too good to be true sometime as in "you too can ...

Thought I would share. I came up with this as a way to let warriors pull some of the heat off of other characters in computer game speak: "pull agro". I haven't seen anything quite like this in the core book or the handfull of modules I have so I thought I would share, if you like it feel ...

This is all completely subjective and I know my arguments are completely selfish, but the OP asked. I have stalked this forum enough to understand all of the arguments but it just boils down to time with me. It would be so cool to have the stats and pictures to go with the DCC flavor. I'm sorry, I l...

Idea for a DCC product
Over on another chat board we have been having some discussion about DCC. Basically it is the "have you tried it and if not, why not?" One point that was made was having to look up the spells/charts in general and the fact that some of them are printed over more than one page. I don't see ...

Any reporting from GenCon?
read over on therpgsite.com that the DCC booth at GenCon was rocking. Good for you guys! The game is great and hope it gets the lines at the booth it deserves. Can we get an update from the folks there? I admit I'm fairly jealous, the closest big convention to me is DragonCon and it doesn't seem to ...

Re: Lucky roll, am I missing something?
By the way, to a player who says "who cares what my birth augur is, my luck modifier is zero anyway", you can reply: "wait, you mean that you would not care to know that you were BORN ON THE BATTLEFIELD??! I mean, that would be pretty amazing, wouldn't it?" (I.e. show that YOU c...

Re: Lucky roll, am I missing something?
See, this is why I joined this board. Thank you for the clarification and the ideas folks.
I think I will go with the Luck changing over time affecting the birth auger idea.
Plus it has the added benefit of burning luck that much more unique.

Lucky roll, am I missing something?

Hi, just wanted to say we are joining the band! My wife and I are enjoying DCC RPG and starting to introduce the game to our friends. We love the old school feel, the streamlined "get to the fun" nature of the game. I've been looking through the boards for a while for the great advice and ...

Re: Solo Adventures?
DCC doesn't seem to lend itself to solo adventuring... Not sure I agree. Our first use of DCC was with my wife as solo player and me GMing. It was a blast even if it ended in a TPK of level 0 characters. I didn't scale the adventure down quite enough but she actually made it pretty far into the O-l...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
Hi,my name is Steve and we have been loving some DCC RPG the last couple of weeks since we bought it. It has been the answer to some 3 hour long combats that were taking place in our last game system. It has brought back some fuzzy tingly sensations in some old Grognards. It has given us more reason...

Re: Luck score table question
Sorry to Necro a thread but I was searching for an answer to a question regarding the Luck/Birth Auger roll. If a 0 lvl character does not have a bonus or negative on their luck score do most of you bother rolling the birth auger for that character or not? I know it adds a bit of flavor to the chara...
